Default Points for Deli Turkey Breast?

Hi I can't seem to find how many points for 2 slices of deli turkey breast. Someone told me it's 2 points. I can't find it in my book.

Thank you!

It depends a lot on the thickness of the slice and if it is fat free or low fat or high fat as well as the weight of the meat.

Call the deli where you got it and see if they have the nutritional information. If they don't try the database here for nutritional information or CalorieKing.

oh ok. It's very thin sliced but I'm not sure if it's reduced fat or fat free. I took a guess at 2 pts for today. Thanks!

I really struggled with figuring out points for deli sliced meat, so now I buy the prepackaged stuff because it has the nutritional information on the back - but I discovered you should always weigh it, because the three slices per 55 gr serving ideal, well not so much. 55 gr tends to equal 2 slices.

It is not hard to get the nutritional information for Deli meats. While you are there have a piece of paper and a pen/pencil and ask them to show you the nutritional label. They are more than happy to accomodate your request.

99% of them are 1pt per ounce.
Unless it's honey or maple glazed, in which case i'd add an extra point every third ounce.

Kelly is right - you can get the nutritional info for almost all of the deli counter stuff, just ask.

Also, Boards Head and Butterball have extensive websites, and I don't know about you but those are the two big brands out here.

I just did a quickie search on Calorie King and Boar's Head and Butterball have long lists there.
