Under my points,over my calories :-(

Ok I keep going over 1200 calories a day, by like 300 calories, but I'm under 30 pts. I am eating practically 6x's a day, trying to get in all my veggies & fruits, (which I do) eat mostly chicken for dinners, etc. I do bicycle every other day 2-3 miles, whatever I can handle. I drink 62-70 oz of water a day. Should I limit the calories to 1200 or not worry about it ? Help !! :?: :?:

If you are doing W/W you needed worry about the caloric intake because with the formula W/W devised you will be at the correct caloric intake.

1200 calories a day is a very, very bare minimum for a person around 150 or less pounds. The higher your weigh the more the calories go up just to survive thus my suggestion is to QUIT COUNTING CALORIES because W/W has already done that in their calculations.

Here is the AVERAGE (it can be a bit more or less depending on how much fat/fiber is included in your foods) for each point 'range:'

20 = 1150
21 = 1200
22 = 1250
23 = 1300
24 = 1350
25 = 1400
26 = 1450
27 = 1500
28 = 1550
29 = 1600
30 = 1650
31 = 1700
32 = 1750
33 = 1800
34 = 1850
35 = 1900

But remember this can be up or down based on fat and fiber and DOES NOT include the 200-250 calories a day that W/W built into the program for free veggies.

W/W is based on a bare minimum your body needs to function (Target Points a day), added points for exercise (ActivityPoints) to be used on the the day earned at your option, and a maximum for the week (Flex aka WeeklyPoints).

Trust the program...it works.

BTW are you a Unicorn freak? LOL! I love Unicorns and have over 1,000 in my collection.

One more thing I want to say is your Target Points are your bare minimum for the day and if you consistently fall under those points it will only serve to slow your metabolism down and eventually cause you to stall or even show small gains (especially if you are active -- really if you are active you should eat some if not all of your ActivityPoints and don't forget to utilize those FlexPoints too).

The more you eat while losing the more you'll have at maintenance and the less chance you'll feel like you are dieting to maintain.

Don't be afraid to use your WeeklyPoints aka FlexPoints too with your TargetPoints.

I have always used all the points available to me and it works!

You might try adding some peanut butter, nuts, or a full-fat dairy product if you need to boost your points. All are good for you (well, if you have cholesterol problems, adding a full-fat dairy isn't that great) nutrition-wise, but have a few more points than most of us like to spend.

Great I think I will do that ! I've been afraid to have nuts or peanut butter. Ill start having a little bit & see if that helps me to get up to my 30 p oints. Right now I feel I'm eating so much I'm afraid to go over ! Im getting ready to order the kit from online so I can track things more easily .
