question about ww

  • Hi I'm new at this, I don't know much about ww, can you guys help me out, I'm around 155 and how many points am I supposed to have? How does it work really? If I want to lose 30 lbs does that mean I only go up to 30 points? I can't afford to sign up ww right now but I'd like to know more about ww, thanks!

At 155 lbs you're allowed 22 points a day and 35 extra points per week. Then you can get more points for exercise. The exercise points depend on the type, amount of time and your weight. My suggestion would be to go to WW for a few weeks until you get all the material. This way you'll have the food calculator, the exercise calculator and the plan book to follow.

  • Those 35 points are not extra points they are part of the program. They are optional if the person to use if they choose but most people find they lose better if they eat them than if they don't.

Basically you get a minimum points a day to eat. This keeps the metabolism moving. You can earn more points like was stated for activity depending on your current weight*time done*intensity. And you are allowed to utilize the 35 WPA/FPs as you see fit.

Can you afford to join online (much cheaper than meetings?) or afford to order the at home program. These are also 2 other options rather than meetings. I believe that online is about $15 a month and the at home program is $100 (payable in 3 installments).

  • In the UK we don't get the extra weekly points! I am 163lbs and get 22 points per day and that's it. If we do no count which sounds lik eyour core we get 21 points per week to use or not use. Do you think I would get more if I started eating more extra points?! (I think the points calcualtions are the same too as far as I can see) CAroline

Hey everyone...Im new to WW and I know from others that I am allowed 18-23 points a day since I weigh 136 lbs. What else is there that I don't know? Someone gave me a list of food items and there points. Beef is a strange group. Does hamburger meat, london broil, sirloins etc all have the same amount of points? Hope to hear from someone.
