Default Wendy's Salads

Does anyone have the WW points information for the new Wendy's salads that they are introducing? There's four new ones out: A Spring salad, Taco salad and I'm not sure what the others are but, they all look delicious!

Hopefully someone out there is in the know and can tell what the POINTS are for these!

Thanks all!

Nancy

Just wanted to say that I tried the mandarin chicken salad yesterday. Didn't eat the almonds or rice noodle, and I used the dressing on the side (7.5 points is too rich for my blood).... used the fork dip method. I thought it was incredibly tasty, and very filling. I highly recommend this salad... it was very tasty! I will be definitely be going back again to Wendy's for that salad!

I have also tried the Blt Salad , the mandarin chicken salad, and the spring mix they were all wonderful. I am sure the chicken BLt is more points than the spring mix Too I also used fat free french on all of them . Especially when I seen the fat content in each package of the dressing that originally comes with the salads
Now I have not tried the taco salad. Toooooo many points for me I know without even looking.

IF you dont add the extra's they give you I thnk they are worth buying !!!!!!

Hi - I just had to add my two cents in here as these salads are a mainstay of my diet. I am learning so much with WW because, at first glance, I would have thought that the taco salad had more points than the mandarin chicken but with a few modifications, it actually can have less. This is what I do:

Mandarin chicken salad - 3 points
Almonds - 3 points (same as entire salad!!!)
Noodles - 1 point
Dressing - 7 points

I eliminate the almonds and the noodles and use the entire packet of dressing. I tried using half the dressing and topping it up with salad or white vinegar but it just doesn't do it for me.
Thus, I have a 10 point supper that I just love and don't have to cook!

Taco Supremo Salad - 8 points
Taco chips - 5 points
Salsa - 0 points
Sour Cream included in package - 2 points

I eliminate the taco chips and use light sour cream for just 1 point, instead of the 2. If you don't like sour cream, you could enjoy this salad for only 8 points. I love sour cream so I go for the 9. App. the same as just the dressing in the mandarin chicken salad. Aren't things so deceiving sometimes?

Anyway, I also eat this salad at least once a week for the above reasons. I hope this helps other Wendy's fans! Best wishes to you all.

Hello

On the BLT Chicken salad How many points if you throw half of the shredded cheddar cheese away. It would bring it down a point or two right.????

Thanks,
Michelle

Default Alternative dressing for mandarine salad

I tried a dressing this week that I think is almost as good as the one that comes with the Mandarine Orange Salad and 1/2 the points. Wish Bone Dressing & Marinade "Asian Sesame". I found it with the marinades, not salad dressings. It has a thicker consistency than many LF dressings (not watery at all), and it even looks like the original thing. I carry mine in a snap top medicine bottle the pharmacist gave me. Sodium is still sorta high, but for all you Mardarine Orange Salad fans, this might do the trick, or at least would be a great way to create this salad at home!
Let me know if you agree!

Here's the NI:
Serving size 2T
Cal 45
Fat 2g
Fiber 0
Sodium 510
Carb 6g
Protein 0
Comes to 1.3 pts for 2T

Compare to Wendy's NI:
Serving size (5T) I measured it
Cal 280
Fat 21g
Fiber 0
Sodium 620
Carb 21
Protein 2
Comes to 7.35 whole pkg or 2.94 for 2T

Unhappy agh.....wish I knew before.....

I just came back from Wendy's and trying their Mandarin Chicken salad (my first time....) and it was delish!! Hopefully I won't make a habit of eating this one all the time, the dressing was just too good. I managed to leave half of the dressing and a good thing too. I read the label only after squeezing some of it out. My "lite" lunch still cost me about 9 pts though!!! Should have come here first to read up on it well....I'll know next time!!

Thanks for the tip on the Wishbone dressing. I'll pick some up.
