I have been eating Wonder Light whole wheat, but I know that there are healthier breads out there that are made from whole grains. The problem is that I don't want to spend a lot of points on bread. Many of the breads I find in the health food store are 2 points per slice!

Any help would be appreciated-thanks in advance.

I've been enjoying the Milton's bread. yes, it is 2 points a slice but very hefty. Seems like I do better with a solid point value at every meal instead of scrimping on points during the day as I've done in the past and saving them all up for dinnertime.

Gotta be the Natural Ovens Sunny Millet Bread. Wonderfully nutty. It makes an amazing toasted cheese sandwich with two slices of 2% milk cheese to get in lots of milk servings early in the day. I'm out right now need to go order more. Mail ordering bread seems like a pain but it is worth it!

Their other breads are great too, but that one is my favorite.

Brownberry Natural Whole Wheat Bread is awesome, and it's only 1 point per slice.

We've eaten this bread for years just cause we liked it. When I joined WW I purchased many other lite breads, until one day I calculated the points for this one.

I was thrilled to discover how low in points it is, and no longer use any other. It toasts very well, and is filling and satisfying.

Vicki...I've seen that bread discussed before, it has a real following! How many points per slice in the Sunny Millet? Do you have other favorites?

The Sunny Millet, and most of their other breads, are 1 point/slice, even with the new fiber cap (Sunny Millet is 60 cal, 1 gram fat, 4 grams fiber).

Their Happiness Bread, with cinnamon, raisins, and just a touch of pecans, is also super if you like sweet breads, and also 1 point a slice.

Their Right Wheat is a good basic sandwich bread at 1 point/slice.

If you really like white bread, they have a Better White at about 1.5 points/ slice, which I haven't tried.

They also make a super Tomato Basil bagel, which doesn't taste much like a bagel to this New Yorker but has a great cheeseless pizza taste, for 3 points.

I'm placing another order with them today, in fact!

Country Kitchens brand Lite Italian and Lite Raisin, both 2 slices for 1 point. They also make lite English Muffins.

I tried Wonder Lite Sourdough when I was in Florida, I haven't found it here in Connecticut.

My favorite is Orowheat lowfat wheat bread, 2 slices for 1 point.

I like Roman Meal's whole wheat, also 1 pt. per slice. I especially like that I can buy it at the Dolly Madison or Hostess outlet stores for less than $1 per loaf!!

I 2nd the vote for Natural Oven. I usually get the Multi-Grain Stay Trim bread. The point value using the new rules is 1 pt a slice. I also enjoy the Hearty Filler or whatever is called. The REALLY love the cookies too, I get the carob choc chip. Yummy. I'm in WI, so I'm able to get this at the grocery store. But once you try it you'll never go back to the boring, blah, non -filling fluff of barely wheat/white stuff. lol.

I like Orowheat light potato bread . It's 1 point for 2 slices . kathy

How long does it take to receive your order from Natural Ovens? Are they backed up on their orders like the Bakers Cookies?

Everything sounds delicious from there.

I use Silver Hills bread. I buy 16 Grain, Squirrelly, Flax, Multigrain & Whole Wheat. 1 slice is 1 point. I buy it in British Columbia in Canada. It is high fiber & it tastes really good.

I eat their cookies and bagels too! I love the new onion ones :) - add some laughing cow - wonderful!!!
