Deluxe WW Light and Tasty Recipies

  • Hello all... I'm hoping someone can help me out. I dug out a Computer Disk I was given awhile ago, it's a copy of Deluxe WW Light and Tasty Recipies, which has over 2000 'delicious, healthy meals' on it.

The disk is a few years old (about 1997) - it's 'pre-Points', so I was wondering if anyone knew how to convert the recipies into Winning Points.

I've attached a simple recipie I found and what I figured the Points would be. Please take a look and tell me if I'm way off.

    Cinnamon Baked Apple

    1 small apple
    1 teaspoon light brown sugar
    pinch cinnamon

Preheat oven to 450o F. For each serving,
core apple; place in baking pan. Sprinkle
with brown sugar and cinnamon; bake,
    covered, 15 minutes, until tender.

EACH SERVING PROVIDES: 1 Fruit, 15
    Optional Calories

    PER SERVING: 79 Calories, 0 g Total Fat, 0 g
Saturated Fat, 0 mg Cholesterol, 2 mg Sodium,
    20 g Total Carbohydrate, 2 g Dietary Fiber, 0 g
    Protein, 13 mg Calcium

I figured that, by using all the nutritional info WW provided, that the Point value would only be 1. So, does it make sense that using the PointsFinder I should be able to convert all the recipies on the disk properly? I hope so... it seems like it would be a great resource!

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi Christine, I have the same CD and I just use the points finder. That recipe would be 1 pt. There are some really nice recipes on the CD.
  • I have the same disk and the recipes are great. Yes, just use your points finder and you'll be able to figure out the correct points.
  • Thanks!
Thanks for that info.... I was so happy I'd been able to dig out this disk, but then I wasn't sure if/how I could use any of the recipies!

Since they've already taken the time to work out the nutitional value of the recipie, working out the points is a snap!
