Anyone an avid camper out there? How do you keep it under control point-wise? I have been doing alot of camping and really gaining. Please share your recipes, strategies, ideas etc... I love camping but should I give it up to get thin again?

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Anything you can do on the stove or a grill at home to remain OP you can do camping. It is really as simple as that. It just takes planning. I am usually a hit at the campsite because I use many of the packet cooking recipes at http://www.reynoldskitchens.com/ you can make them ahead and freeze them and put them together in a ziplock bag and let them thaw in the cooler (2 things happen you have great meals and they help keep other foods cold) and then do them on the grill.

You can do the traditional things such as hot dogs (using fat-free or low fat ones with light buns) and hamburgers (92% or leaner beef). Baked Doritos or potato chips rather than the full fat versions.

You can take fruit.

Breakfasts are easy too....Egg beaters, center cut or turkey bacon, simply potatoes hashbrowns.

Sandwiches are good too.

See it really isn't any different than cooking at home.

It a matter of retraining. I always have bad food when camping. This year I really tried to change. most meals have gotten better and I have made a lot more meals that I normally make at home instead of "special" camping meals.
