Snacks

Hi everyone... I need help on low fat-low point snacks that I can have at my desk during the day at work. I am definately a nibbler and if I don't have anything healthy in front of me I will snack at the candy jar at our front desk. I am NOT a veggie or fruit person, I have an apple for breakfast and a banana before I go to the gym, and a salad at lunch... I need something different and tasty to have for snacking!! I love to bake so that's not a problem, I just need it to beable to sit in a basket on my desk all day and not go bad...

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Hi
I like the Crispy Mini's, they are 9 for 1 point. Although I'm not sure about the caramel ones.
1 oreo is 1 point,
3 ginger snaps for 2 points.
I'll think of some more

Thank You, I have also measured out one serving of Baked Doritos into little bags so I know it's 3 points in one bag. I love the ideas... Thanks!!

Hi golfergirl:

I bring some tostitos and f/f sour cream mixed with salsa for a dip.
Cut granola bar into 4 pcs - microwave and flatten out to make 4 cookies or just eat by itself.
Melba toast with: peanut butter, l/c cheese, cream cheese.
Cheesestring, turkey bites, popcorn with butter spray, dry cereal to munch on.

Hope this helps.

ff pringles are 1 pt for 16 :D
skinny corn chips are 1 pt per cup
and I would go for the dry cereal too...just bag the portion and count the points and your set!!!

Kudos Bars (2-3 pts. depending on variety)
Rice Krspie Bars (2 pts)
WW 2 point bars-they have alot of fiber and fill me up
FF pudding cups (2 pts)
Yogurt (varies) etc...

I'm so cheap with my snack points, I never eat anything more than one point, because I also am a grazer. Even my lunch is rarely above 2 points (salad with 1 pt of nuts and 1 pt of regular dressing, all shaken together in a tupperware container).

I bag everything in one-point ziplock bags -- I am convinced that this has helped me immensely with my mental image of portion control. When the bag is finished, so am I -- unfortunately this used to be the case for me whether it's a one-point bag of carrots or a 10 oz bag of potato chips, so might as well be the one-point bag.

I adore my digital WW scale, got it last year for Valentine's Day and it made all the difference for me -- so easy to use, very exact, "almost" fun

Lately, here are my favorites:

Miss Meringues minis (depends on the variety how many in a bag, usually 6-8). the large ones are two for one point. Worth every crumb, but a bit addictive with all the sugar.

Melba whole wheat rounds (I think it's 8, you'll have to check the box)

Half a WW Just Two Point bar or Breakfast bar - cut in long quarters diaganonly, then in half (across), this will give you six diamonds. Cut the two biggest diamonds (at the ends) in half lenghwise. Gives you four diamonds in each one-point serving.

Boston low-fat popcorn (already bagged).

10 chocolate-covered blueberries (Trader Joe's)

Chidori crackers (about 7-8) from Trader Joe's, taste like hearty fortune cookies

1/2 cup spiced applesauce from Trader Joe's

Jules Destroopers Almond Thins - three (Kings in New Jersey)

Almondina biscuits - I love Gingerspice, but other flavors also -- 2 (Trader Joe's)

Roasted Corn Kernels - nice and salty, you can't put too many in your mouth at one time; they'll break your teeth! But they're full of fiber, they last pretty long and are delicious. -- Trader Joe'

Good luck
