Does anyone know the point value for pure apple butter, no sugar added?
I've looked in all my books and can't find anything for it. Thanks in advance |
Try this link: http://www.nalusda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin/nut_search.pl . It's the USDA nutritional database.
In Corinne Netzer's Complete book of Food Counts, 1 tsp of Smucker's is 12 cals/0f/0f, 2 tbsp of Barma is 25/0/0, and 1 oz. of White house is 50/0/0. I don't know if any of these are sugar free, though. |
I have gotten some wonderful pure apple butter from a large jam company around my area (Wisconsin). It has no additional sweeteners, except apple cider. The calories are 15 calories per Tablespoon. This would make it 1/4 cup equals 1 point, and 2 Tbsp. would equal 1/2 point (if you count halves).
Hope this helps! Erin |
Thanks Erin, that sounds about right!
