How many points on protein per day?
Anyone know if there is a recommended point allocation per day for protein? (Like milk/milk products are recommended 4-6 points per day or 2 servings.)
I was asked if I could find this out. The "Getting Started" book I have doesn't specify, but I was sure somewhere the daily points allocation was broken down into recommended points for each food group. Kelly_S? |
Hi ya! In general for balanced eating or Eating by the Numbers it is as follows:
COMPLEX CARBS - 6-9 points a day PROTEIN - 6-8 points a day DAIRY - 4-6 points a day FATS - 2-3 points a day FRUITS & VEGGIES - 0-3 points a day It varies a bit for higher carb or higher proten. It comes in Week 6 booklets. |
