Default Wow I use a lot of points

I'm in my second week doing WW and I have friends who tell me they have trouble using all their points and I seem to have the opposite problem.

I'm supposed to have 29 a day and am averaging 36 a day! I use 2-6 activity points a day... I guess I need to get better at portion control as that seems to be the issue rather than food choices.

Does anyone else have this problem? It's too early for me to really see movement on the scale either way.

Are you meeting your good health guidelines every day? If so you are doing fine. In my experience people who find it hard to eat their points are eating diety foods. That is not really sustainable for the rest of your life. Your points are there to use...enjoy them.

I'm at 26 points and I find it REALLY hard to stay at 26 points. For me to be comfortable and not feel super hungry I feel 32 is perfect. :-(

Thanks, fitbyforty. Almost the only processed food I eat are WW bars, I'm a pretty healthy eater otherwise. Yeah, I guess it will take awhile to see where I need to be to lose.

Jess, I'm with you! I love starch, and have found that most of my points get taken up by carbs.

Also, if you are exercising enough that you are are earning up to 6 points a day, it's no wonder you are hungry.

I have trouble using all my points, but I have 46 a day. I definitely would find 29 a bit harder.

I have been doing the same thing. I should have 26 points, I find myself eating 35 to 40 points. I have been doing a very restrictive program (Ideal Protein), so I think I am just enjoying eating real food.

I feel that if you are using your points on healthy whole foods and exercising that the points shouldn't be too big of an issue.

After being on such a strict plan I have come to realize losing this weight doesn't have to a race. Slow and steady is the way to go, by eating more points you are keeping your body from going into starvation mode.

Same here! I get 26 a day and I am usually more around 30. I too am just in my 2nd or 3rd week of counting points, so it's hard to cut back so much on food right away. I'm finding that even just int he past 2 weeks it is getting a little easier to feel satisfied on fewer points. I think our stomachs just need to adjust

Try cutting out your carb at night time, dinner is when we should be eating the less amount of points, yet most people eat the most. Dinner for me is usually 5pp, chicken and salad, then some frozen grapes for dessert about an hour later when I'm watching TV.

Plan plan plan. Its ok to go over every day and use your extra weekly points in a daily ration of course but it doesn't allow for the odd splurge. Try and plan out a day where you don't go over and see how it goes.

Thanks, all. My group leader pointed out that if I was kind of splitting my points between breakfast, lunch, and dinner, that I would run out of I wanted ANYTHING extra around dinner/evening, so I have actually cut back during the day.
