If you are "eating by the numbers", would you count a bocca burger as a 1 of your proteins?
Also, what about things that are not definately under a certain category, (something not as obvious as fruit, veg, milk, etc), such as a luna bar or even a candy bar)?! I'm not ready to cave and eat one, but just in case, what box would you check it off--carbs maybe? Thanks for any info. |
Hey - I am a vegetarian, and I count bocca burgers and the like as part of my protein. For the 70 - 80 calories, I count as 1, for the higher calorie ones, I look at the fat content and if there's several grams of fat, count them as a protein and a fat. Luna Bars I count like Balance bars, Balance bars list the dietary exchanges as (I think - I don't have one in front of me) either 1 or 2 lean proteins and 1.5 fruits. I was on the exchange program a long time ago and they broke down things into servings, so I kind of go by memory on this stuff -
