Default Question about oatmeal

Good evening!
I have a question about the points in oatmeal. I measure 1/2 cup dry old fashioned oats. The label gives that a point value of 4; the pocket guide and ww online gives 1 cup cooked oats as 4 pts. I know it expands a bit but not to a whole cup.
Either way, I'll continue to eat it, but I just wondered how much is 4 points.
Thanks for any help.

I dunno, I actually always thought oatmeal did double in volume when cooked...

I'd use the nutritional information from the oatmeal you are using, since that is the most accurate. You could use more or less water, but the oatmeal stays the same, so counting the points for the dry amount is most accurate.

I go with 4 points based on putting the nutrition info into the ww online calculator for the brand that I bought. As long as you're measuring it while dry, however much comes out in the end whole cup or not, it's still 4 points.
