water question

  • How important is it that you drink your water spread out throughout the day?
I mean, is it okay to guzzle 8 glasses of water all between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. at night (and yes, I know this is VERY inconvenient in terms of sleep) as far as the plan goes and effectivenesss, health, etc.
I am a court reporter and I can't drink large amounts of fluids all during the day because it would cause me to have to continually interupt proceedings and take excessive breaks to use the bathroom, which is a

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks!
  • I think what's important with water is to not drink it all at once. I don't know if 5 hours is enough time to spread out your intake of water. Sorry, I can't say much about that. If you drink it all at once, I *think* what happens is that your body takes what it needs at that moment, and flushes the rest out. In reality, it needs the amount it flushed out - just not at that moment. But I'm not 100% sure about this so perhaps someone can verify or knows more.

Could you also drink some in the morning, before work, early enough so that your body processes it by the time you get to work?
