Hi,
I started ww a month ago and love it but have recently been having an issue. Okay so I am faithful to the plan 5 days a week and do not go over my points. However on the weekends I binge with my flex points (will eat super healthy and at night will use up all of the flex points on icecream, brownies, chips, pizza, etc. and overstuff myself). I know I have the flex points and can use them but I don't feel good about what I am doing. And I somehow feel I will not be successful doing this. The main point is that I don't feel it is healthy and I kind of thinK I should not use them unless it's an occasion where I am at a birthday party or something. I feel really terrible Monday after the weekend and I don't know how to stop the cycle.
Any advice/help?
Thanks.
Karmen
Well are you losing weight this way? If so, and your not going over your flex points then there is nothing wrong with it(for now). Then when your weight loss slows down you will have to lay off some of it. What I do is plan on having one treat every night so I don't feel like I am being deprived.
Flex points are there to be used as you see fit. I used to do this all the time. But when my daily points LOWERED (I'm at 23 now), I chose to use them differently. And I also decided, with time, that I did't want the junk. It just happened with time kind of naturally. So RELAX, monitor your loss as you might find that using all 35 Flex points may not work for you (I rarely use them now because my weight loss rate is really affected). And then you can change.
Until then, just take it easy and get really, really comfortable with the program.

Hi MWLK8128,
Do you think that you binge on the weekends because you don't satisfy your cravings during the week? Have you tried maybe using some flex points during the week so that you can have dessert after dinner or a more carb packed dinner? There are many great low point desserts (Slim a Bears and Skinny Cows are wonderful!). By letting yourself indulge a little during the week, you may be less likely to binge during the weekend.
Good luck!
