peanut butter question
so 1 tsp is 1 point
2 tsp is 2 points and 1 tbsp (3 tsp) is 2 points. so essentially i can eat 3 tsp for the price of 2??? :carrot: |
yes if that is what the nutritional info works out to.
|
It doesn't. 3 Tablespoons of peanut butter is 285 calories and then you have to add the fat. No way it is 2 points.
|
WOW! again with the harshness Susan! Anyway, I would plug the nutritional information into a points calculator (there are several online just google it) and see what comes up. Sometimes points work out funny.

But it doesn't make sense that 2t would be the same points as 3t. My PB (no sugar) has 100 calories per T. |
my PB (Jif) is 2 pts per Tablespoon. i never bothered calculating it by teaspoon. what am i gonna do with that small of an amount? lol.
anyway, it IS possible for 2t and 3t to be the same points. looking at the slider, there is an obvious range of cal/fat/fiber combos that can equal the same points values. and with such a small measurement of PB, 2t is probably at the low end of the range for 2 pts and 3t is at the high end. |
Susan, I like you started with the tablespoons but then re-read before I posted and she wrote teaspoons so you are wrong in this case. BTW I PMd you in case you don't check (not about this).
Many people only need a tsp (LOL - yes it is very small) for say a mini bagel. |
My peanut butter for a whole serving is a 3 points. It's all natural and really yummy
|
try the PB2, 52 cals per 2tablespoons, not sure points but tasty.
|
Please explain PB2? Not familiar. TY
|
|
Huh?! I think I've seen the PB2 before at Wegman's. Never knew what it was... although does it have the same health benefits?

Yikes. I thought I needed a cup of tea to wash down regular peanut butter on toast....can't imagine a tablespoon of dried peanut butter powder on my dry toast! LOL. Seriously, though--how do you eat this? Is it for mixing into a shake, baking, or do you reconstitute it for your sandwich, or....? It looks interesting! |
you mix it with water. :)
