Lobster Bisque

Hi Everyone...I need a quick answer. My cafeteria at work is serving Lobster Bisque (sp?) tomorrow. How many points is a cup? I love this stuff!!!

do you have your points book? the points are close to New England Clam chowder. And, waaaay too many to spend if you're actively trying to lose! Unless you can safely only eat half and toss the rest. :-)

Thank you....I knew it was too good to be true, and I will stay away for a while, til I lose more weight. I can't honestly say that I would eat half....too yummy.

Lobster Bisque Soup

I work in a hospital and our dietitian works out a nutrient analysis each week for the food served in the cafeteria.

I just wanted to let you know that an 8-oz. cup of Boston clam chowder is 150 calories with 7 grams of fat. It is 4 points. I know that different places use different recipes but your lobster bisque may not be too bad. Another advantage to eating soup is that the warmth is satisfying and filling. A drawback is that the sodium content may be high.

yeah, boston clam chowder is a lot lower in fat and calories than manhattan clam chowder and lobster bisque. While boston clam chowder is more of a broth based soup, both manhattan clam chowder and lobster bisque are cream based soup. I always stear clear of those cream based soup... too many points!
