Veggies and points
ok, so 1 cup of broccoli is 0 points, and 1 cup of raw carrots is 0 points and 1 cup of raw onions is 0 points. BUT if i make a stirfry with all of that is it 2 points? I ask b/c 2 cups of broccoli, or 2 cups of raw onions, etc is 1 point...so would 3 cups of veggies at one time equal 2 points?:dizzy:

You generally do not have to count your zero point vegetables no matter how many servings you eat (with a couple minor exceptions).
If you use your calculator, vegetables do eventually have points - but you don't have to count them. I think the rationale for this, is that WW, by making them free, is effectively encouraging you to eat more of them (a good idea). Some people would not "waste" points on vegetables if they had to pay points for them. The exception of cooked carrots and onions was made, because some people were eating large quantities of them to the point that weight loss was stalling (at least according ot the leader I had when I was still in WW). This would usually apply only to people with very little to lose (when have you heard of someone getting fat on onions or carrots). |
This one confuses me too....
I looked at the WW website to try to figure it out -- Their "famous" soup that is 0 points has the following in it (along with other ingredients) -- 2 cups of broccoli = .5 points 2 medium carrots = .5 points 1 medium onion = .5 points But they still say a serving of the soup is 0 points:dizzy: |
