Points booster points...

what do you do with them? How do they fit into the WW Winning points program?

You eat them, if you need them. :) If you don't need them and don't eat them, I believe they can be banked just like regular points.

That said, be careful. There's been debates here regarding heavy exercise and how many points to "boost" by, what WW intended, if you're supposed to only use up to 4 additional points, and on and on. I don't believe we ever came to a concensus. Experiment with it and see what works for you. For myself, though I am a heavy exerciser (I earn about 50-60 points a week, if I went by the booster), I limit myself to 4 points per day if I absolutely am starving and I don't bank them. See what works for you. If you eat your booster points, do you stop losing? Do you stop losing when you DON'T eat them (your body thinks it's starving)? Play around with it and see what works for you.

Bonus Points

Hi Chellby,
I am new to 3fc website, but am enjoying it very much..As for your question about the Bonus points..I was an active weight watchers member until recently so I am going to give you the formula straight out of the book..For every 20 minutes of fat burning exercise you get 1 extra bonus point..you may use these points the same day or you can bank them..They also say to limit the number of points you bank to 10 and to use up the banked points on a weekly basis..for those of you who might not know how many points you should have in one day here they are:
CURRENT WEIGHT..........................................DA ILY POINTS RANGE
LESS THAN 150 18 - 25
150 to 174 20 - 27
175 to 199 22 - 29
200 to 224 24 - 31
225 to 250 26 - 33
OVER 250 POUNDS 28 - 35
They reccomend that you never eat under your points range and never over your daily points range unless you have banked points to use..I hope this helps to explain things to you and anyone else that might have a question about the points..

I have a question for you Mousie...I have recently started WW at home. I have found info on the net and am using that, but apparantly there is a tool you can use that calculates points in recipes....do you have any idea where I could find this..it would be so helpful for me. There is no WW where I live.

Katbalou--you must be doing 123 Success, the older program. (So am I, no harm no foul, I just have the info from the new program too). With Winning Points, the new version of the Points program, in week 4 you get another slide-rule called a Points Booster. The Points Booster figures how many points you earn for what intensity and duration you exercise, at your weight. It is possible, with an hour of heavy exercise, to earn 11+ points!

If the 20 minutes = 1 point thing works for you, go for it. If the additional points are necessary to make your body not starve, go that direction. The program is modifiable to your needs.

p.a., I have no idea. :) Try storms mom's site. I know people use MasterCook very often, but I couldn't even tell you if that's available online or not. Can you tell I'm not too fancy a cook?
