Confectioners' Sugar

Last year, I made my own Easter eggs. They were scrumptious, everyone loved them.

This year I want to again, but am wondering if there is a confectioners' sugar made by Splenda or Equal, e.g. These eggs are mostly confectioners' sugar, butter and coconut. I was considering making them this year with artifical powdered sugar, if it exists, and lite butter.

You could try using spoonable Splenda. It's not quite the same texture but I make a cheesecake (no bake) with it for the powdered sugar the recipe normally calls.

Well, perhaps I'll try making a small batch with the spoonable Splenda, but I just don't think regular sugar-texture would work.

Maybe I'm just going to have to settle for using the light butter.

Amazon has something called powdered malitol, confect. sugar substitute.

I found a recipe for powdered sugar replacement for diabetics, not sure what you're allowed to post website wise, I'll try it and won't be insulted if it gets removed. I googled confectioner's sugar substitute and found something called cook's thesaurus and they had a link to this website http://www.childrenwithdiabetes.com/...s/d_08_2aj.htm
you'd have to figure out the pts. but it might work for you.

good luck

I DID know that you could make it this way, but I don't have a food processor. I make small batches of confectioners' sugar in my coffee grinder, but the amount I need to make these eggs is way too much to do that!

I look up that Amazon thing tho. thanks.
