help with points
Ok, so my DH loves this crab salad that I make occasionally. Basically it is crab (fake stuff), cauliflower, cucs, onion, dill, and miracle whip. Any thought as to how I can count a 1/2 cup? Recipe sort of has equal parts of everything with enough salad dressing to taste.

well, if you added a cup of each thing, then the only thing that has points in the 1 cup of miracle whip and the 1 cup of crab stuff, but in total you would have 5 cups (I assume you don't add a cup of dill). So take the points for 1 cup of the crab stuff, points for 1 cup of the miracle whip, add them up and divide by 10.
I can't really give you a number, since I don't know what type of miracle whip (normal or fat free?) you use, and I have absolutely no clue how many calories/fat/fiber would be in that crab stuff. |
crab stuff is fish with some kind of stuff on it to make it taste crabby, according to 3FC it's 1.8 for 3 oz. 2 for 100 grams for miracle whip light 1 pt per tablespoon. www.calorieking.com is great for recipes you can change the quantities and do a pretty good job of figuring your pts.

A pkg of the crab or lobster is 4pts - I did the pts on the pts tracker at WW. Yep about the Lite Miracle Whip is 1 pt for 1 T. I make a lobster roll with this stuff and I used 1 pkg lobster, 1 T MW, celery, seasoning and it was 3 pts because I divided it in half. IT IS YUMMY and your crab salad sounds reasonable and yummy at 1/2 c. probably 2-3 pts per half cup

the recipe builder on WW site really helps with stuff like this. I love it.
