Newbie needs fruit help
Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. I am a Weight Watcher in Sweden, and we don't have exactly the same rules in the Swedish program. We have a list of free vegetables that seems to be the same, but when it comes to fruit I notice that you have to count them as well. Here in Sweden we only count some high-sugar fruits such as banana and grapes. So my question is how do you count the fruits in?:^:

Hi there ~ I am not the best person to respond to your request but for me I know that a small fruit is 1 pt. and a larger fruit is 2 points (apples, oranges, etc.) - We have these fruits listed in our materials received at the meetings. Have you tried the www.weightwatchers.com website? Maybe you can find some answers to fruit questions there too. Good Luck and I am sure others will be along to answer specific questions for you. :D

In general 1 cup of fruit is 1 point but it is 2 fruit servings. Some fruits like strawberries you actually get 1 1/3 cup for 1 point.

If your weight loss hasn't stalled, why not do it the way you've been taught? It shouldn't intefere with your weight loss unless you're really eating alot of fruit.

Hi there! Thank you all for your answers. That helps a lot. I am kind of a control freak, so I like your way better. I know you add a few points to the day's total and then count the fruits in, so there really isn't such a big difference in reality. But I think it gives me more sense of control your way, and I won't be afraid to eat to much of the fruits. Once a control freak - always a control freak...lol
Again: thank you all! |
