Do you use the WW recipe builder?
I've been baking cookies all day, and been VERY good, not sampled any of them! This last batch that I made is my favorite, so I wanted to see how bad they were, in case I decide to indulge in one (or two  ). I entered the recipe and came up with 1 point per cookie....does this seem possible for homemade cookies? They are small, and no chocolate or candy in them, but they do have shortening and sugar....
Just curious if you have faith in the recipe builder! |
I don't use the recipe builder because it tends to cap fiber at 4 grams for the entire recipe but since most cookies don't have that much fiber it could very well be correct.
I make a 'modified Nestle tollhouse' (double the batter but not the chips and leave out the nuts) and it is 1 point per cookie. However 2 cookies are 3 points. |
Thanks, Kelly. I think I'll go re-enter the recipe and cut the servings in half to see what the points would be for two cookies!

It sounds possible to me. I have these vanilla cookies from Whole Foods, that are a decent size, and 1 point each. I mean, they seem almost as big as a cookie at Subway, which is something like 5 points (though lots of fat and chocolate and such).
I use the Recipe builder, though I admit to be paranoid about it. I enter the ingredients one by one in a second browser tab, and make sure the points seem reasonable for that ingredient, before adding it to the recipe builder. That's just to make sure I haven't stumbled acrossed a food where my specific brand's calories are radically different from the versions on their site. |
