We finally got a drop of rain this afternoon. I'm all stopped up and can't breathe and feel yucky. Like I'm coming down with a cold. I sure hope not.

good morning ladies
I'm still in Ottawa, fly out tomorrow night and I'm back to work Wednesday morning. I've been staying with my youngest sister and not doing too much. I did manage to hook up with an old friend and I've been able to rollerblade 3 times while I've been here-I'm going out again this morning-the paths in Ottawa are beautiful-nice scenery. I've managed to not gain any weight while here too.
Tina, I hope Smokey's feeling better and Susan, sorry to hear about your horse. I now have 2 cats, Charley and Banjo-Banjo is about 5.5 months old . The lady who rents the apts is taking care of them while I'm away.
I'm glad everyone sounds okay and I'll be back here wednesday-

After the past couple of days, I think I'll loan out some rain. 4 inches is what a neighbor measured. Lots of that was this morning when the kids were getting to school. What a mess!!

Maureen, it's good to hear from you. Good for you on not gaining any weight!! Have a safe trip home.

Long day even though I didn't work with students. Getting schedule arranged and talking to teachers to see what I'll be doing with them. I plan to be in bed by 10:00 tonight.

Tina, today was interesting. One of the teachers was called to come to the hospital because her mom was being taken there. First week of school we kind of "wing it" on lesson plans. Well, she didn't have plans ready for today. That's what she was working on. Anyway, the other intervention teacher and I took over. Those kids didn't know what hit them. lol It's 5th grade, so between 2nd grade and 4th grade, I had most of them before. Kay won't be back this week, so she had me drop off textbooks so she could make real plans. She and I taught 2nd together for years, and she was one of tim's bosses before he left for college.

LOL I know what you mean. I was going to bring some of the papers home to grade tonight, but I changed my mind. I spent today grading for Kay's sub, and I also did beginning of the year paperwork for her. Next week I'll be doing what I'm supposed to be doing. Maybe.

The principal told me at the end of the day that I sure wasn't moving as good as I was Monday morning. He said he thought the 3 day a week idea was a good one. He also said if I'm hurting during the day, I'm supposed to just go home, or go hang out somewhere and rest. I like this guy!!

Tammy, it sounds like you are almost doing too much. I'm glad you're not working more than 3 days.
I need a vacation! I'm continually stressed out about our cat. I have to make sure he eats, even when he doesn't want anything. I have to make him come out from under the bed so he can take his medicine....and the list goes on. Larry said he'd love to take me away but we can't leave the cat.
I ate Pizza Hut stuff tonight and then Larry went and got us each a piece of cake. I'm stuffed and feel so guilty about eating that mess.

I think just getting back into a routine is why I'm aching. We'll see how it goes.
We're leaving this afternoon and will be back tomorrow sometime. First football game at Ball State. Going to watch the band of course. We'll have time after Tim's classes tomorrow to spend time with him before we come home.

Venting is good. Bob brought home Krispy Kreme donuts again!

My day was prety good. I took another nap this evening. I'll be glad when i feel good. I'm glad we have a long weekend. I know Pat felt bad but stayed home. Of course I'm going to work and come home tired.

I stayed on op until I drove through Sonic. Maybe my car needs to go another direction. I've only had Krispy Kreme donuts once. I think they over built and don't have enought business.
