  • Well, Here I am again. Seems kinda lonely here lately. I am working again, but only have to work 3 1/2 days this week!! YAHHH for me.

Not much new to report since I worked all weekend. I did weed my garden yesterday after work. And it got really cold here.

Hope everyone gets a chance to come out and play!!
  • Hello all.

Well, I am doing well this week. I also think I have been doing better staying with 35 points. We will see when I go to the dr Thuraday how much weight I have gained. I got a good look at myself this weekend in a window...boy, I am looking FAT! Oh well, nothing I can do about it bt eat healthy.

Jen: read your and Bren's do issues. They DO grow out of the stage. Also, make sure they have lots of their own toys to chew on...I know, but they like the jeans etc better. They always do as pups. About 2-3 years they stop. Really baby dogs are like real babies in that you have to baby proof the house. But it calms down..hang in there.

Brenda: you too. I know it can be such a pain when they don't behave. Maybe a personal trainer would work well. This is why I will always go to the pound and get an older dog. Ours was 2 when we got her. However, pound dogs have their own issues. At first they have huge seperation issues.

Anyway, Just saying hi. I will check back at lunch.

Hey, were are our British friends? Come out everyone!

    Trish
  • F-A-T!
Bad, bad, bad. I gained 3.6 at WI on thursday before I left for the weekend and gained even more weight. I knew it was going to be bad but it was awful. After WI, I didn't actually feel too terrible b/c I know I have 4 more weeks to get back to 160-162. Now I have made it worse for myself. I made smarter choices this weekend but I drank lemanade which has 5 points per bottle!!! And they had a cookie table at the wedding and I ate tons!!! AGH!! I have not totalled my points yet but I know it is bad. I wrote everything down but have tolook up points for Roy Rogers on the way home (at least I had grilled chicken).

Anyway, I am now going to be dilligent until WI on Saturday. I have a long week before WI but have dinner plans the next 3 nights. We are goint out for Spanish food tonight. I have no idea what to order, suggestions appreciated. tomorrow night is dinner with a fellow WW, chicken and veggie kabobs on the grill and Wed is mexican. I plan to work out a lot and eat low points as much as possible.

Sorry to talk all about me. I don't have my own computer today. I will try to go back and read the posts from last Friday. I hope you are all having a good day. Talk to you later.

  • Where is everybody?
I'm posting at 11:30 EST, and usually at this time there are about 20 posts or so. Where is everyone? I opened the thread and then reopened it because I thought my computer did something wrong!

Well, I did well with points this weekend and stayed pretty much to program. Got some exercise points, too. Yesterday, b/f and I had a fantastic day and rented a ski boat out on a lake about an hour from here. We stayed out 3 hours, took some sandwiches and had a blast! The water was really warm, too. We didn't ski, just went really fast! Brian had to leave for work at 2:30, but we had made the effort to get up early so we had some time together. And it was nice.

The down part of the day is that my dog, Toby, tried to bite something. He didn't break the skin or anything, thank goodness, but it really shook me up. He's never done anything like that before. We were heading home after a walk and this man was crossing the street just in front of us. All of a sudden, Toby lunged out. I don't know if he thought the man was being threatening to me, or what. Still, I've very upset and I'm going to talk to the vet to see if she has any advice. Toby's six (he's the husky/shepherd mix), and he's never been aggressive. All he does is bark at small children and the mailman. When I adopted him, I had the impression that he had been abused. He was very skittish and cowered if you put your arms in the air, whether it was directed at him or not. Could that man reminded him of someone. I just don't know.

Well, now I have myself upset again. Uh, oh, I just remembered I have half a brownie in my desk! My friend brought it to me Friday night when I was working late! It's only half, right ....

    Everyone come out and play!
  • HEY! There are six people who answered the poll and only four who have posted. C'mon lurkers, come out and say hi!
  • NOT ONLY THAT KIM.... but this thread has been viewed 26 times. HMMMMM, makes you wonder. COME OUT AND POST, we don't bite and we are generally a fun bunch!

Kim, good luck with your dog. Don't know what to say, but I would think that if your dog was abused, that something could have reminded him of it. Don't know if that is the reason, but it is a possibility. I am a pet lover and get sad when things arenot good with animals!!
  • Ugh! Where am I?
I had my bachelorette party Sat night and spent all day yesterday throwing up my toes.
So, I'm back at work, trying to wrap things up for tomorrow which will be my laSt day until after the honeymoon.
I was luring earlier, couldn't find time to post and now I need to eat my lunch. Finally, I can eat something!
    I'll be back this afternoon.
  • So quiet today!!!
Wow, but it's quiet! I have been "working" this afternon, aka watching Wimbledon because my 4 fave players are all playing each other this afternoon - Ivanisevic already beat Rusedski, and now Henman and Martin are about to play. But I am still in shock over Sampras going out to the 19 year old Swiss chappy. It's all so exciting!!! I love tennis! And tomorrow it's Serena Williams against Capriati ... dream game Blokey and I have just been shopping and now my room looks like a fruit farm - melon, plums, satsumas, apples, bananas, lemons, plus blackberries and blueberries in the fridge ... Yup, it's the guilt. We went home to my parents this weekend and basically ate for England. I can't believe the amount of crap I put in my mouth. So Sarah, it's you and me together And tomorrow I have to WI

Ok, going to watch the Sampras post-mortems now. BAck later!

    Lxxx

ps: - Stacey, was the bachelorette party fun? What are the traditions out there and did you do any of them? Here we call them Hen Nights and you are supposed to wear a wedding veil and an L-plate and go out and get trashed and get a male stripper. Eek!!!
  • Party woes...
Lolly: I didn't get a stripper, but I wore a veil with body lotions and condoms attached, I also drank my weight in alcohol. I danced ON several bars and kissed a few bartenders (on the cheek) oh yeah, and I saw the DJ's underwear. All of this for a lousy and I mean LOUSY bottle of champagne. Yucky!
getting back to work...What's an L-plate?
  • WOW, I didn't have a bachelorette party, but I figure I did all those types of things while I was single (before hubby) so it didn't matter to me. I guess I used to be a wild child... amazing what finding a great guy and settling down does to a person!
  • UGH
I ate Mexican for lunch. Now I feel sluggish. Bleh. Chicken fajitas, which aren't too bad, but I ate a ton of chips and salsa. And of course, I probably only have like 2 points left for the day because I ate that brownie.

Anyone know any good vegetarian dinners?

Stacey: Sounds like you had a little too much fun! I'm wondering what an L-plate is too. Lolly? I went to a bachelorette party a few years ago and my friend was made to wear a blow-up man doll around her wrist and get random guys to sign it all night. We went to Foxwoods casino in Connecticut. Was that fun!

    Ooh, phone call!
  • Hi all. I have managed to eat 8 points so far today. Am hoping not to go over 9 points before we go to dinner. Still don't have any good ideas for Spanish foods for dinner. I will try for a fish I think.

I didn't have a bachelorette party either. I just went out dancing with friends one night. We do have the tradition of wearing a veil and doing silly things for signatures. I am not a fan of strip clubs though.

Glad some more of you cam out to post. Hi Jen, Tonya, Stacey, Lolly and Kim. Caling WW now about becoming a receptionist.

    Sarah
  • Well, this weekend we are going camping with Emma and Sadie. The State Park we are staying at has a Dog Beach so we are going to see if Sadie likes the water! FUNNNN!!!!

I have eaten a TON today and am having a full strength soda. BAD ME!

I made chocolate muffins last night. Mix a box of chocolate cake mix with a can of pumpkin. I added a little smidge of water because it was awefully thick. YUMMM. Also, Betty Crocker has low fat brownie mixes called sweet rewards. They have cake mixes too, by my store only had the brownies. Check them out!!!

Has anyone tried the new WW Smoothies??? I have a box of the vanilla, but haven't tried them yet.
  • Took me forever to get here.
Anyone else having problems accessing this site??? I'm very proud of myself. OK, so I didn’t have any money this morning so I had to eat the oatmeal in my drawer at work. What a way to try and get back OP! I was hungry mid morning so I had yogurt. For lunch I had a baked potato with light butter only! I’m feeling like maybe I can do this again The potato was big and very filling. Tasted very good. I didn't bring my WW stuff today b/c I had no intention of following plan. Did I just admit that? I'll figure the points when I get home.

Trish: Thanks for the encouragement on the dog situation. We took him to the lake yesterday and swam with him. It’s really funny b/c he has this kind of panicked look as he’s going for the stick and then he calms down when he swims back to shore. He quite a swimmer. I really do love him to death!! Glad you are feeling better! Don’t worry about how you look. Enjoy being pregnant!!!

Sarah: Don’t get discouraged! I’ve heard it’s very hard to learn how to maintain. I think we spend so much time focusing on losing, that once we know we’re where we want to be, you get that mental break going and sabotage yourself. Focus on the things you did to get to goal and you will be fine. Chock it up as the past and go forward *hugs*

Kim: Sounds like you guys had a blast at the lake! As far as where everyone is, I think it’s Canada in Canada so those bums have the day off Otherwise, I think a lot of people took time off for the 4th. I only get Wednesday off, but at least it is some more free time! I agree that the man you saw probably reminded Toby of his abusive owner before you. I would talk to the vet though and get some advice. Don’t worry too much and I'm sending you determination vibes for dinner!

Stacey: I can’t help but laugh at you! So give us all the good details. How did the last evening of freedom go? Hehehehehehehehe. I can’t believe it’s Saturday!!!! I’m so excited for you

Lolly: Oh yeah, male strippers and a veil required. My girls sewed lifesavers on a t-shirt they gave me (Brenda – bachelorette party 2000) and I had to have guys suck of bite them off. I’m sure you’ll have no problem imagining where some of those lifesavers were! There are pictures too! OK, get your mind out of the gutter, it wasn't that bad! There was a whole other list of things I had to do. They made me get people at the bars to buy me drinks. The really funny part is that when they bought me a private dance up on the stage, they chose the guy my hubby was in sports with and didn’t even realize it. It was hilarious! OK, fill us all in: L-plate? Is that like a chastity belt or something?

"No one is useless in this world who lightens the burden of it to anyone else." -- Charles Dickens
  • Details?
Well, I, too had a suck for a buck sign around my neck, but the lifesavers were very sticky and stained my new tank top! So I threw them away. We started the afternoon with pizza and wine, while doing pedicures, then more wine, then the limo and jello shots, then champagne times ten!! When we got to the club, they gave me a shirt with instructions on the back and I had to have people initial when I did the "deed" I kissed two bar tenders, danced on top of the bar, twice and had to collect business cards from guys who were named...get this...Harry, Dick and Bob. I just wish I had slowed WAY down on the alcohol. I would've remembered more of the evening.
Well, DF is here so we can get our marriage license. See ya later!
