Aren't you all proud of my little freshman Lisa? She's quite a gal, let me tell you. So exciting about school and doing so well on the WW, I must say, she deserves a... oh, I can't stop myself...

A 21 naner salute!

OK- now listen up- I FOUND the magic wand!!! Here it is:

It hasn't done much for me yet, but hopefully it will help one of you out...

Have a good day, all- I'm off to school!

Hey, Lori - I need a whack with the magic wand.

I just wonder where Lisa gets all that energy? Sounds like it's good to be her right now. Isn't that a wonderful feeling? Keep it up Lisa, all your systems are go right now!!!

Everyone have a great day today. (runs out of thread, looking for wagon to hop back on...)

Stephanie-Great job on exercising like a mad woman..good luck to you on your walk!
Misty-WAY TO GO! That is awesome that you got up when you wanted to sleep...I have a hard time with that. Next thing you know, exercise will just be a habit!
Lisa-Whew..your day is super busy! I bet they fly by...I just loved college..they really were the best times of my life...had a blast and enjoyed going to class. Silly sounding I know...but I enjoyed it.

Well 3 days down and I've done pretty darn good...I used my Flex Points last night b/c I just love a glass of wine at night. It is just something I really enjoy. So I am getting into them pretty easy...I go over every day but have a hard time seeing where to cut back b/c I am so hungry. I know that I will not get info on Exercise Point until the 3rd week, but since I am exercising so much, could anyone help me out a bit on those extra points I could be earning? I do 30 min cardio/20 min weight training 3 days a week and 45 min. cardio twice-three times a week. My cardio is pretty intense so can anyone help me?? I'd really appreciate it.

Update on storm victims here...well it is getting ugly...we are running out of gas, they are bringing in a ton more evacuees so they are telling us to stock up on things we may need, and people are trying to steal others gas and groceries as you walk out of the store. I am starting to get a bit scared. People are shooting people in New Orleans to get items that they want. It is just awful. Please keep all these people in your prayers. At lunch today I am going to the Red Cross to sign up to volunteer some more. I just want to do what I can.

Hope you all have a good day!
Marcie

No time to type much now, but DH just called--he asked me if our scale is broken. He lost 5 pounds in the last week without even trying. I absolutely hate him sometimes!!! How can guys do that!?!?

it is so unfair how the hubbies can loose faster! My mom came and stayed with us last week and she said to my hubby man you look like you have lost a lot of weight. Me her daughter she doesn't say a word to. My hubby isn't even trying. I just cook healthier at dinner for him. ERRrrrrrr So feel your pain.

Marcie did you not get a tracker first week of ww so you can figure out pts used for exercise? Goes by weight and intensity of workout. For me 30 min. is 4 pts. Hope that helps

Marcie, you do get the AP tracker thing on the third day. I...misplaced mine. Lol. See, here's the theory. Yeah, the extra POINTS come in really handy when I'm in a pinch, but I think I'd rather end up with extra AP in a day. I dunno...somehow I feel like it balances itself out. My body lets me know when it needs extra nourishment to complete the workouts I demand of it, and it seems to be working fairly well. But generally I think most workouts will earn you about 2-3 extra AP or something like that a day.

Also, I'm really sad to hear your update on the things in LA. I just wish there were something I could physically do for these people. Like...buy the world's largest mop and set to work or something!

I exercised today! I did the 40 min dance DVD, and I will say this, its getting easier. I still am a horrible dancer, but I can follow it better, and do everything as much as I can. But its doing something weird to my right knee. It was hurting Monday, and I couldn't figure out why, and today after doing the DVD, I found out why. Either its a dance move I'm doing wrong, or a combination of moves thats making it hurt, but I cant figure out which one it is. But its only my right foot. Weird.

I did do crappy yesterday with my points - I ate 40 pts!! I'm supposed to be at 26 to 31. Not good. But I'm doing better today.

Here is a link to figure out AP points. Hope that helps you guys out!

Hi all!!

I worked out today instead of tomarrow b/c we have to go somewhere. SO I am still on track with my exercise.

I don't know if you remember but a while back I posted about my sister who has PCOS and Insuline Resistance receiving some shots, along with some supplements, appetite supressants and a low glycemic diet form a new doctor. She spoke to all her specialists and each one of them said that there was nothing in the regimine that would hurt her. None could say if it worked, but they all said go for it. So today is her first official weigh in. I don't know "officially" how she has done but she has stopped one of her insulin meds b/c it along with the new stuff was making her sick, her endocrinologist ok'ed it. She feels great and and unofficially has lost like 10 pounds in two weeks. She has started swimming again and swam a mile each of several days last week. I know the program she is on is not for everyone, but I am just so proud of her. I think slow and steady weightloss is the best route but her choice was this, surgery or die. She has never stuck with anything, and nothing has worked. But this dr. works with several woman in her same boat. So I pray she keeps going.

Lizzy-I sometimes have trouble with my right knee when I do anything with a sideways or truning motion. If I am cooking all day and turning back and forth and pivoting on that leg between my table and my stove, or roller blading, or anything like that it hurts. I find one of those elastic knee braces helped me alot, I got one for like $11 at the drug store. It kind of keeps my knee from sliding sideways or something. I hope yours feels better.

I also only use my AP in a pinch. When I was doing WW on my own I never used them. But I do use my Flex Points every weekend, I used them when I was doing it on my own too and I lost 24 pounds 4 months. Well I nee dto grab a shower and get the kids ready we have to run a couple errands when DH gets home. Have a good day everyone!!
