:coffee: Happy Thursday Ladies
ITs 6:13 and I have been up since quarter to five. . .a combo of tum trauma and my husbands musical nose and mouth. I sent out some resumes right now I'm killin time before I drag him out of bed and throw his buns in the shower. I was reading fitness magazine ( in the store ofcourse) and it was talking about how if you have the obesity gene (thanks dad) or rather an obese parent you should exercise 300 minutes a week just to fight it. so thats my new something to work up too I also want to get a pedometer to see how many steps I use a day and figure out how to maximize that I finally started my shower thank yous I had them all written but I started that heinous job and now they are out of date. but It was cool b/c the other night when dH and I were organizing our stuff I remembered who gave us what I think I'd kill for a coffee right now. . .we don't even have a pot! anywho off to set out the meds/vities and start my day. COME OUT AND PLAY! Love THe Sleepy Kierie |
Kierie: I guess at my peak of exercising I exercised that much. I have started running with a club though so I should be getting at least 200mins a week now and hopefully the three.. Both my parents have been/are obese, so I know what my odds are, but I still have faith and confidence that I can lose my last 13-18 lbs and get to be where I want! You can too.
Went to run club which has a social aspect too which is nice since I am new to my area. Anyway I found out I have been running wrong for four years, but now my technique is better I have more power and am faster yah:) The spread of speed in my class is huge though, couldn't believe it. Cheers! Ali:) |
Hey Ali thanks for the vote of confidence!

Hey, ladies!
Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA lately--we've spent most of this week remodeling the library part of the building, which is where my cubicle is.
Not a whole lot going on. Last week was a terrible eating week and I managed to prove that it IS humanly possible to gain 5.2 lbs in one week. Of course, I'm still sure that the scale was wrong last week, when it said I'd lost 3.2 lbs, so maybe it's not so bad. Who knows... Kier--That's kind of depressing about 300 minutes of exercise. I barely get 3 minutes! (OK, I'm exaggerating a little). As a matter of fact, I've been trying to talk myself into going to the Y in the evenings when I don't work. I want to start the habit now before I start back to school. It's just scary to go back heavier than I was when I first started, ya know? And if you'd like a coffee pot, I have one that I never use that I'd be happy to mail to you. :) Heck, I'll even toss in my cappucino maker that doesn't get used. Good luck with the thank you's for your shower! And about the dairy product craving, I'd say that as long as you're counting the points for it, keep up the good work. Calcium is something we really need at our ages, plus they've shown that three servings of milk products in 24 hours is proven to help you lose weight faster. Just my $.02. Ali--I'm feeling a little bit like a motivational speaker today, but despite the fact that it may be cheesy, I'm going to say what I'm thinking anyway. :D Despite the fact that our parents are/were obese, it doesn't mean that it's set in stone for us. I think it's great that you're keeping the faith in yourself, because that's exactly the right thing to do. I mean, look how far you've come!! I'm going to get back to work now. See you tomorrow! |
