Day 7 - So far I have exercised 6 out of 7 days. I haven't done that in quite a while. I attended that new class at the health club that I mentioned. I called ahead to ask for a description. The receptionist said it was like yoga with weights. So I took my yoga mat. And what was it? Not the least yoga-like, but cardio exercises with a special handheld weight. I was sweating so it was beneficial.

How are my other 'Project 90' cohorts doing?

Bandit--Glad to hear from you . Your plate is full, but look at how successful you've been lately. :cp: applaud your success and move on.

Lauren,
wow! Didn't realize your dh was in a legal yadayada. It makes me furious that people think this is a great way to "earn" bucks. Don't they realize doctors' reputations are at stake? Great--someone makes you well and you sue them. Terrific! Ugh. All I can tell you is that sometimes doctors do win when it's a frivolous or wrong lawsuit. I am praying that's what happens for your dh.
As far as food, you and I both do better when we actually *go* to WW mtg. I'll start writing what my dl (dear leader) has to say at the weekly meetings. Glad to hear you're joining swan's challenge.

Swan,
weigh to go! Great exercising and taking care of yourself. also thanks for starting the challenge. I'm still with you. Went to city yesterday, so I had my dinner at lunchtime and had a light supper at home. Fun--saw Gracie Mansion (the mayor's home in NYC)
Have a plan--I'll be offline for a day or two--but I've got my meals planned and that's what always gives me a big headstart on staying OP.

Lin,
know this is a busy time--my prayers are with you and your db. How are your sons?

Love you all, gotta run,
Judy
down one pound since last week.

Hi, everyone,

I don't have a lot of time these days, but I wanted to let you know that my brother is going to be OK. The doctor wants him in for a couple doses of radiation, but he dosen't seem to be worried about my brother's survival. That's one less stressful thing in my life. YAY!!

I'm so glad to see you all doing so well. Good luck with your 90-day challenge. Maybe after I get settled, I'll try a 60-day challenge, and finish up with you all.

Judy, my sons are doing fine. Thanks for asking. :)

I'll try to start a new thread later today or sometime tomorrow.

Lin, I am so relieved to learn that your brother will be fine. Thank God. How have you been during this time? I know that things are hectic right now, but try to remember to take care of yourself too.

Judy, glad to hear that you're still hanging with me. Down a pound! That's terrific! I am avoiding the scale until the end of the challenge and hope to have a good result by then. I went to the 'Tread and Shed' class this morning. This treadmill class consists of different drills at different speeds and inclines for varying amounts of time. For example, one drill might be for you to run or walk 70% of your maximum speed for 30 seconds, 80% for 30 seconds, all the way up to 100% for 1 1/2 minutes. Afterward each drill, you are treated to 30-60 seconds of rest (walking at a much slower pace). We actually had the incline at '11' for a time (mind you '0' is regular walking). I had soaked through my shirt. Then I attended a sculpt class which worked the upper body (push-ups and weight exercises). All of this had better be doing me some good or else!

Bandit - keep up the good work. I have friends who attend Curves too. Do you like it? How strenuous is the exercise?

Lauren - hope that things are working in your favor. Stay strong!

Bye y'all.

Swan,

I'm back and will be home for the weekend. Plan helped a lot. I can count everything in. Had to miss my WW mtg. because of the timing--but will get there this Wed. come ..... or high water.
Love to all. Will write tomorrow when I'm more awake.
Love,
Judy
