Good Mornin Ladies
I was reading yesterday's thread and noticed that a couple of the ladies are looking to start Scrapbooking.I have been doing it for quite sometime and have gotten only half of a scrapbook done.I started right before I got married. I have several sites that I have purchased from and gotten ideas from and thought I would share them with you. About scrapbooking Supplies and ideas this right here is one of my favorites to buy from. Another supply store another favorite I have so many hole punches ( in different shapes you wouldn't believe), cardstock. The plastic helps so when people look at your scrapbook; oils from hands and dirty hands don't mess up your hard work. My favorite thing to do with cardstock. Is take a solid color and punch a whole bunch of shapes with one of the punches. Then I take a pattern piece of paper and glue it behind it.Very pretty and very colorful. Just a thought I 'd like to share. I am doing pretty well and have been trying to focus on getting bills paid.Talk about stressful. *hugs* lynnie |
Ok ladies I have been doing a bit of lurking and haven't posted in a few days. I am teetering off the wagon but I swear from this point forward (b/c I just had Famous Amos Mini Cookies) I WILL be on points. My problem is that the past two weeks I have used my flex in a couple of days which leaves me no room for going over and I do not handle t his well. I got on the scale on Monday and I was still up 2 :( I would love for those to be gone by Friday b/c I WAS down 7.5. I know that 5.5 is still good but for 4 WEEKS! Uhh I don't know why I sabotage myself like this. I also haven't exercised this week but plan to tonight and I hope to walk a bit during my break at work. I HAVE got to get back OP b/c I feel so much better when I do! Well ladies send me some vibes and I am hoping that by tommorrow I will be able to report that I am back n the saddle.
Shew, sorry about the rambling but I had to confess :D How is everyone else doing???? Here is a question for the day! (I may have asked this before) I am a bit tired of my lunches. WHAT ARE YOUR LUNCH STAPLES and APPROXIMATELY HOW MANY POINTS DOES IT ADD UP TO? Mine right now is Tuna on Whole Grain Bread, Fruit and sometimes Cheddar Triscuits or Yogurt with Grape Nuts but like I said I could use a bit of a change. BTW Hi LYNNIE and Kieri! BBL |
Oh my lunch points are usually 8 ish!
|
Hey Ladies
Lynnie I'm totally going too that scrapbooking site b/c I want too start doing that before the real wedding planning sets in so i can document the process ;) Becky for lunch I like string cheese some times with salad smoked turkey also with salad Crustless quiche with all kinds of veggies and a meat of some kind nuts/seeds toasted pita or crisp bread with hummous (also great with veggies) PB and carrots and celery (pb activates the beta carotene in the carrots) Yesterday was hellish time wise at least we shot our commercial for class So indeed I looked stunning (in my size 16 pants!) and a bunch of ppl told me how good I looked But I was on campus from 9 am till after 10 pm with classes and meetings and I came home and Died! my eating wasn't bad ie I didn't go wacko with snacking but my dinner decision wasn't the wisest if I get my work done in time I'm going to the gym before class I'm maintaining the 196 but I want to be down 10 by haloween which is going to take some effort but a goal is a good thing oh and I booked my tix to IRELAND! I'm going january 6th! for 2 weeks bbl gotta get to work if I want to go sweat bbiab Love Kierie |
turkey or tuna on 12 grain bread, yogurt
points equal about 6-8 |
Becky, I eat 6-8 points at lunch. Once thing I always have on hand in case I don't have lunch is Progresso Chicken Noodle or Chicken Rice soup. 4 points for the WHOLE can. Eat with some crackers are you are full. Otherwise I usually have leftovers. Last night I made Chicken Lo Mein and it is awesome. Having leftovers today.
This is the Scrapbooking website where I have been getting ideas. Thanks for the links, I am hoping to get more and really be set!!! http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/default.asp Going to the gym to work out today. I have been eating a little too much the last 3 days. I was good yesterday until I decided I needed ice cream, and the 1/2 serving got out of hand. |
Hey ladies....
Ummm if it's time for confessions, I went out and ate at a chinese buffet-style restaurant last night. Before going out, I was thinking: I'll do good, just because I CAN eat as much as I want doesn't mean I have to. But I got in front of all the food... and ate too much. So much for being good all week long.... Hmm lunch ideas -- Mine are usually ham/lowfat cheese on wheat, yogurt, and/or an apple. Pretty much the same thing every day... boring! Kierie your lunches sound so good! gotta work some more, bbl |
Ooh thanks for the lunch suggestions
Jen~ I have been doing Healthy Choice soups now that the weather is cold. Great suggestion I know that I have some in the cupboard. You are the craft queen btw. I have started scrapbooking but I find that it overwhelms me a bit with all of the possibilities. I am somewhat of a perfectionists which means I also become easily overwhelmed. Kieri~ Ooh I love the hummus idea. I am definitely going to have to try that. Angie~ Buffetts are death aren't they! They get you everytime. It's ok you can start again with me today :D Lynnie~ We are lunch twins :D Ok off to the Chiropractor during my lunch. My sinuses will thank me for taking the time :) BBL |
I have been craving tuna lately. I used to eat tuna in a pita pocket with lettuce and tomato. Yummm yummmm...
Other lunch staples... if I need something to add bulk, I make a point free salad at home with lots of veggies and have low point dressing. NOT FAT FREE... blechhh. Lately I have been into Raspberry Vinegrette. I am eating a salad today with either my lo mein or chicken noodle soup. I have both here. Should we start a Journal Thread again??? I will and see if anyone posts on it. It's a way to be accountable and get ideas! |
This one is quick - can't wait to start my new job and move into my own office and not have to share a computer. I'm doing well, 3 days of excercise in a row and eating is OK. Lunches - I'm huge on bag of salad. I bring bag of salad for lunch with a cheese string and fruit for later. Sometimes I make "taco" salad with a bit of taco meat and some salsa and sour cream for dressing. Then sometimes I cheat and have a slimfast bar cause it's like eating chocolate for lunch. OK, got to clear up all this stuff and get ready for someone new to take over.

kt that taco salad sounds nummy
Becky! do you have a wendys nearby you could do a baked poato with some chili am on hold ugh! bbl |
Hey girls,
I too have to get back on the wagon today! Last night was a friend's birthday - I had a ridiculous amount of nachos (split w/ someone else) that were loaded with BBQ chicken, cheese, sour cream, etc. Put it this way, the chips were shiny ;) Then for dessert we had the richest chocolate cake, huge piece. And I wonder why I was up on the scale this morning. Anyway, trying to get back on track here, I've just been totally stressed out/freaking out about nothing in particular. I need to calm myself down and just relax. My lunches haven't been great lately - lots of ramen noodles (totally broke) and whatever else I can scrape out of my cupboards. When I'm OP I like to do salad w/ chicken breast and bagged lettuce w/ tuna salad on top (made w/ FF mayo). That's really filling considering I use the whole can! Variety generally isn't a good thing for me when I'm actually losing weight - unlike the times I just say I want to, like now, but don't do anything about it! |
Good morning girls (or afternoon depending where you are).
It seems to be confessions day today – I Have to confess that with the stress I’ve been under I have been a bad girl. I ate crappy over the weekend and gained 2#. I know some is water, but I am disappointed nonetheless. Anyway, today I am back on track. I did go to see b/f’s mom on Saturday – she was all blubbering and apologetic so I just let it go. I knew it meant a whole lot to b/f so it was worth it. But now the horrid Aunt is in town. I will not see her – she wrote a less-than-apologetic e-mail about how she hoped we could forgive eachother. Obviously she figures she has reason to forgive me. She wrote that she was sick and hurt (looking for an apology from me of course). I wrote back saying I was busy Tues-Thurs (she isn’t staying the weekend) and couldn’t see her, but have a nice trip. Damn, it helps to be a communications professional sometimes!! I also love scrapbooking. I have done one of my trips to Europe and I will also do Thailand and Cuba – it just takes me a really long time and I find I do more in the winter. Of course, now I have begun knitting as well so I have a few projects on the go! Becky – you’ll probably be down by Friday if you stick to it! I am rooting for you!! Lunches – I usually eat about 7-8 for lunch – that seems to be the average of us all. TV dinners or a sandwich plus a fruit, carrots/cucumbers are my usual. Not very interesting, but works for me!! Kier – going to Ireland for a visit, are you? Did you hear that today they finally implemented a drinking age of 18? Same as in most of Canada. But I never thought they would ;) Jen – have a good workout!! Angie – I can’t control the Chinese buffets either, or any buffet. Esp where there are so few good choices. Anyway, move on, no guilt!! KT – congrats on your day 3 of working out!! I am insprired to go to the gym now too!! I’ll check back after I do that… Hey Lexxy – your description made my hungry….anyway, since so many of us were naughty we should just move on from it together. Let’s focus on our Halloween goals again!! I think I can make mine still. Ill see if I can pull up that thread. Well, back to work. Have a good OP day girls…BBL |
Belle~ You are so full of optimism today! :D Thanks for the inspiration. KNITTING! I SO want to start that. What is the best way to get started??? BTW good job on standing up to the aunt.
KT~ Good job on the exercise. I am going out to walk a bit after I finish this post. Kieri~ BAked Potatoe. That is another good suggestion. YES we have a Wendy's. I never think of the potatoes though! Lexxy~ I have found tuna is great when you are trying for a long stretch between grocery shopping trips. DH and I do that sometimes just to save a little extra money for that house. Jen~ I posted on the journal thread. Great Idea!! BTW how did you get started with knitting? BBL. I am obviously not having a busy day ;) |
