Hi Turtles!
Gail, on winning so many $$$$$ at the casino. Wow and good for you.

Glad for you that TOPS will be regular meetings again and good luck on your weight journey.

I noticed a new determination at my WW meeting today. Many of the people there said they will get back to counting points. They had been lax over the summer and the result wasn't good at the scale.

I put a lot of effort into changing a couple of things this week. I eat healthy foods almost all the time, but I eat too much of them. Portion control, right? My WI was good. : and this is the least I have weighed since May of this year. I threw away the summer with too many events, etc. and I feel on track now. I still want #GOAL2019 and I am working toward that.

Good luck to all who read here. Very glad to hear from you Gail!!

I just wonder - are there still a lot of people who believe in that chance, that they can win in the game against casino?

Hi everyone

Most people know overall the casino wins - but it is nice at times to come out ahead. I think of it as a night out for entertainment & don't go often. Would be too expensive to make a habit of it.

So back to my meetings and lost what I gained the week before, so happy with that. Trailer still open until Oct so still spending time up there.

Judy - glad to hear you are losing weight, keep up the good work.

Hi Turtles,
Things going well here. My friends Faye and STan are coming to NYC and we plan to take in a show and have a chance to chat. They are from the Midwest. We're all getting older, so I don't expect they'll be able to make the trip too many more times, so this will be even a nicer visit.

Sending : to all of you who are trying hard to eat well and get more exercise. It'll lead to : and lots of smiles.

Take it easy. Chime in when you can. Getting ready for winter here and figuring out how to celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. All good but our family is changing so this year will be quite different. Matter of going with the flow, right??

Take care!

Hi turtles - been busy with everything lately. Still going up to trailer - closes Oct 20th.
Heading to cottage this weekend for Thanksgiving, so that will be nice.

Just had Tops fall rally and received a certificate for losing 18.6# since Jan 1st to July 31st - so happy with that.
But last few weeks have not been too good weight wise, so have to really get back on track. Seems I sabotage myself if doing too well for too long. Silly, but true!

Judy - glad you are doing well, keep up the good work!

Hi Turtles,
Gail, you did amazingly well in those months. Good for you and ! You can keep it going. Sending :

You've lost a lot of weight. My weight loss is so slow and paltry. I am pleased for any downward movement, but over the last four years I put back 20# that I had lost, so I'm working on getting that off before I get into "new weight loss" territory. Ugh. I know lots of us do this, but it doesn't make me feel much better. Good thing now is that at this age and level of activity I seem to have found the type and amount of food intake that will allow me to lose weight. That's a huge improvement rather than counting on staying at 23 points per day and expecting to lose weight. That didn't work for me!

Sending good luck to all who view these posts. Best of everything.

Gail, enjoy your Thanksgiving. Ours is a good bit of time away.

Hi Jduy - yes Thanksgiving was nice, stayed on track for the most part (but did indulge in pumpkin pie and gravy) but also got in a big hike at the cottage.
I was still down .4# at my weigh in after thanksgiving so was super happy with that.

I hear rumours about a new ww plan coming. I find I am doing well with Freestyle (when I follow it) so not knowing how I would feel changing it at this time.

Pouring up her today - yuck!

Got my trailer all closed up last weekend, so now I go back up next week after they winterize it and just put away some chairs inside. All cupboards and fridges are cleared out.

Also going to Mexico Nov 9th for a week with 2 other ladies - so looking forward to another week in the sun.

You take care & talk soon.

Gail

Hi Turtles,
Yes, Gail, the prizes from WINS are fun. I've gotten a couple of little things then saved for the duffle bag. It's bright and lightweight and I like it.
Glad you had such a very successful Thanksgiving. and even lost weight. That is great.

Glad you've got your trailer packed up and that you had so many good times there this summer.
A trip to Mexico in NOv. sounds really good. Enjoy yourself!!

Our son visited us for 4 days. We had such a relaxing time. we all luxuriated in having him here so we could hang out and play cards and enjoy ourselves. I gained a bit of weight so I have to figure out better how to handle these visits since it looks like we'll have several of them in this upcoming year. It's something to cheer about, but the food isn't working for me.

As far as the new WW program, we'll see. I'm going to wait and see how it all works out and what they suggest. Usually I can pick up clues from our WW coach, but this year not so much. My guess is that it will be very much the same program with just a few tweaks...…………. we'll see.
In the meantime good luck and with : I hope next week my message will be brighter!

Hi Turtles,
Got through Halloween and now onto Thanksgiving. This will be the second year I haven't cooked Thanksgiving dinner. Last year my family and I went to our friend's dining hall for the feast. It was good because the dinner was the dinner and no leftovers. That was great. If I feel the need I can always pick up a rotisserie turkey breast and make a couple of sides and call it a day for sandwiches during the four day weekend.. Right??

Anyway, Gail, sending you : with all your efforts. Thanks for keeping this site going. and : to all who read these little messages. Wherever you are on your journey, have good sneakers and a great attitude and keep on keepin' on!

Judy

things looking up. Hi Turtles.
Dh's this weekend. Also met my longtime friend and hubby in NYC to chat and see Tootsie which was a lot of fun. So busy we didn't have time to eat much, so that was successful.

Hoping for the best for all of you. Happy Thanksgiving in Canada and then here in the states. And that it will all somehow lead to a :

Do well!
