Jan, good for you, having espresso rather than wine at the theater. That was a hurdle! With your determination, you'll be back down to goal in no time flat. I admire your and DH's intending to go to the WW meetings, free or not (good for DH for losing 5#!), that will certainly help you.
Dawn, it warmed my heart to read of the welcome you received when you went back to your WW meeting. How kind the ladies were to greet you with such friendship! I imagine that has spurred you on even more, as you look forward to attending the meetings regularly. We really do need those positive "strokes," don't we! I am impressed with the amount of walking you're doing, keep it up. Losing three pounds by being back OP as of July 31 is quite a feat! |
Way to go, Dawn! I am SO glad you have such a good WW group and leader; that really helps. And kudos on all the walking! I really think that makes a big difference, and like you said, does wonders for your mood too.
Hi Linda! Thanks for the encouragement; you are so sweet! Dh and I walked 2 miles at sunup again and he's off to work; I'm still working on this room, but it'll get there! I'd like to have the house in good shape before school starts for me, next week Wednesday. (We get Mon and Tue off because of two Saturday workshops we attended last spring.) Then I can start straightening out the lab! Guess I'd better get to work! Hope everyone's having a great Monday! Drop in and say hi when you have a chance ... Regards, Jan |
Hi, I'd like a place to come and post. I've had a hard time committing once again to WW'ers. I have alot of health problems so I feel sick most of the time. I lost close to 60 lbs last year on WW'ers. This year I have gained it back plus. I now weigh 222 lbs. My highest weight ever. I'm trying to take things one day and at times one hour at a time. Hopefully I will gain support from you all that are struggling with the same problems.
I read you start a new thread on Mondays? When do you post your WI's? Looking forward to being part of the 50 or more group. Tyme |
Tyme:
We are in similar places, both geographically and with having regained a big weight loss. I hope we can work together and help each other! Dawn |
Dawn,
Thank you for repsonding. What are some of the struggles that you face now - restating the program? Did you have trouble sticking with the program last time. For me last time felt like a breeze even though I lost a lot of weight. I was very determined. Now as with my health I have little determination and a horrible mindset. Looking at what my body as become in such a short time disgusts me. My clothes no longer fit. When I started WW'er last year I wore size 14/16/18 lost weight to size 6/8....& now am up and up and away. I wake up with a good mindset like today is going to be the day I stick to the plan it hits around noonish and I'm off. One thing is that I was working before I got so sick and now I am home resting most of the time. How do we go back to the way we were & recapture our bodies? So we cam feel good again? Thanks for listening Tyme |
Weigh in yesterday, after 9 days on program (switched from Wednesday to Saturday weigh-in to be with my old group)...lost 6.2 pounds! I've walked 21 miles during that time. Feeling great and still OP!
