Es,

I am so proud of you!! Can you pass some of that motivation my way. Exceeding your goal is awesome!!!

Zoe/Patti,
I am in for the challenge. I would like to loose 10# by Labor Day. Actually I would like to loose it by the week before Labor day. Ellen and I are going to visit my brother, SIL and their new son in Delaware the week before she goes back to school. We will be spending a lot of time on the beach, so I dont want to scare anyone in my Swim suit.

Dianne,
Are you on vacation now that school is out? I know my dad who was in college admin always took about six weeks off in the summer.

Jen,
I am glad that you and your family have had so much fun with your pool. Unfortunately my yard is really too small for a pool. Ellen likes going to the club anyway. Being an only child she wants to go where there are kids to play with. She has become pretty chummy with a girl on her soccer team who is also a member.

Ruth,
How are your classes going. Mine just ended. I am pretty sure that I got an A. I aced the 2 exams. I just dont know what I got on my final presentation.

Terri,
It sounds like you are having a great time in CO. If you guys do this again next year can I come too???

Have a great Monday vereyone

Dianne,
I am so sorry that you are going through this tough time. Will you be able to keep in touch? It must be so rough.

Jen,
The water exercises are great. Doesn't it feel good when you find something like that?

Janie,
Sure you can meet us at our front door. LOL
Great job with school. Have fun at the club.

Have a great day everyone.

Dianne,
I hope yesterday was not too bad for you. Those days are so happy for some, but bittersweet for others. The good-bye you wanted from your boss made perfect sense to me. When I left my job after 24 years, it was a roller-coaster of emotions. It's always worst for those who remain behind.

Janie,
Way to go on your exams!!! Are you attending again in the next semester? It's good that Ellen meets people through your club, etc. Being an only child can be a definite advantage, as the parents and child go the extra step to join and participate. As far as having the pool goes....it's my huge extravagance. If I could leave my grandsons, I'd move to a warm climate in which I could have a pool year-round.

Terri,
Prevention magazine had an article with some pool exercises. I love finding stuff like that!

Two more days and Joe is off of work for 17 days! (but who's counting? lol) We'll have a week together, then he leaves for his Canadian fishing trip for a week. On Thursday evening we're going to Joey's town for a Beatles band outdoor concert at a festival On Friday I have to work a Public Safety booth at our town's 4th of July festival...but only for one hour. Then we'll be at home swimming and vegging till we go for the fireworks that evening.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week and summer

JEN,
Have a great time with Joe. I know how you two love to spend time together. Your 4th sounds great.
We were going to go to the Rocky Mt. Nat. Forest and rent a chalet but we decided to do that the weekend of the 18th. It will be to crowded the 4th weekend. We will have a better selection. We will do things around here on the 4th. Our pool put in 5 gas grills. They will have a big party here but not sure I want the big crowd. We will see.

HI ES!!!!

Hi everybody!!!!!

Hi guys:

Es, amiga- I'm so happy for you - you are really doing great with the weight loss, curves, reaching your goal ahead of time - great job! You must be on Aren't you going on vacation soon too?

Jen - So glad Joe's going on vacation and you guys will be able to chill out and enjoy your pool and the family. I've got one more day to go for vacation too. Willie and I are going to a bed and breakfast on the Jersey Shore for 3 nights/4 days. I can't wait. Then when we get back, we'll go camping (my kind of camping - a bedroom, kitchen, bath, living room, etc. ) We'll take a few of the grandchildren with us. My son's children are here from Florida and I haven't seen them since last September when we went on the cruise, so that should be cool. I don't remember if I told you all that Willie retired??? So, he's on a permanent vacation I called his cell phone today and he told me he was sitting under a tree in the park, looking at the water and reading a book! The nerve! Sorry I missed Matthew's birthday Hope it was great.

I also can't wait to go on vacation with all the stress of the past few months with people leaving the job - I just want to go away and come back and start fresh with the new boss, etc.

Hey Janie - Great going on those grades girl - How is Ellen doing? No, unfortunately, the university does not close for the summer, but I have 4 weeks vacation and the week between Christmas and New Year's off - so I can't really complain. In 3 years (if I'm still there) I'll get 5 weeks vacation. Not too shabby, huh?

Hi Terri - How are the "Excellent Adventures of Terri and the Gang" going? It sounds like sooooooooooo much fun - enjoy.

Hey Ruth - how are you doing? How is the new grandson? Are you still in school?

ZoeGirl - How's it going? How's that beautiful house of yours coming along. Don't worry about the 3 or so lbs. - you'll get back on track in no time. With all the stress of the house, etc., its normal to put some weight back on. Don't stress it!

Well, I'm gonna say goodnight for now. Hope you all have a great 4th of July and God Bless America!

Hi Girls

I took the day off today. The office is having a barbecue but I think it's going to rain.

Dianne, I'll be on vacation from July 14th - July 25th. I really don't have anything planned. I may go back to work the second week if I get too bored. I didn't know Willie retired. When are you planning to retire? I'll have to work for the rest of my life. Without dinero can't look forward to retirement. Maybe I'll hit the lottery.

Terri, you are having one fun vacation. I'm so happy for you all. I know how you feel about the big crowds. I'm feel the same way.
Enjoy Sweetie. You deserve it.

Jen, hope you have fun with Joe. When Pete & I take vacation together usually after the 1st week I want to strangle him! Have fun in the pool. Keep up the exercises.

Janie, how's it going? Is FIL still there?

Zoe, did you have a target date for the challenge or has it started? I want to mark my calendar. Great idea. I love challenges.

Ruth, where are you? Sandy?

Well, girls, I am going to enjoy the next few days off. David is on vacation so I'll be spending a lot of time with him.

Have a great day.

Love you's,
Es

Dianne,
no, you didn't mention that Willie retired. Congratulations to him! How is he liking it? Your bread & breakfast getaway sounds good. And enjoy the time with the grandchildren on your "camping " trip! I no longer have any desire to go tent camping....give me a hotel anytime

Es,
After we spend the week together, I know we'll both be happy that Joe is going fishing for a week We look so forward to the time together, then, as you said, are ready to strangle each other by the end of the week.

Terri,
enjoy those grills....after the crowd dies down. I've never been west of the Mississippi, renting a chalet in the Rocky Mts. sounds cool.

HI to everyone! Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July!

Hi ladies,
Thank you all who congratulated me on my grades. I still haven't heard what I got on my final presentation. That is worth 1/3 of my grade. We'll see.

Jen,
I hope that you and Joe have a great time together and that you have a great time apart. I know Steve and I appreciate being apart now and then.

Dianne,
Congratulate Willie on his retirement. That is so wonderful. There have been a lot of retirements at the Lab recently too.

Ruth,
What's up? WHere you be girl?

Terri,
I am with you. I don't like to travel on the holiday. We stay close to home and go to friends for bbqs.

Es,
Taking a week or two off just to hang sounds wonderful. I have so many projects I would love to catch up on.

Zoe,
How is the new house going? I'm sure that once things get settled in you'll be right back on track. I am very psyched for this challenge. I remember it was after July 4 that I really got motivated 2 years ago. I can't believe it has been 2 years that I have been schmoozing with you wonderful ladies. Time does fly when you are having fun!!! Thank you all so much for keeping me honest on my journey to svelt(sp?)

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Hugs,

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Dianne,
That is wonderful about Willy. That book reading by the water sounds like a Godsend. But alas my youngest is 10 so I will not see that in the near future. Good luck with your new boss. Have you met him/her yet? Your vacation sounds so wonderful. Have a great time.

Jen,
Enjoy the pool, family and fireworks. Your family sounds like mine growing up. Wish my kids had that. Sometimes I think of the not so great times and I think well.... OK Holidays.

Es,
Enjoy that well deserved vacation and David. Good luck with the
lottery. Enjoy the 4th.

Janie,
My fingers are crossed for your final presentation grade. Keep us posted. Enjoy your 4th.

Good luck with the challenges. I will join in next month.
We are going to the Cave of the Winds today. Not sure what it entails. Lots of walking is all I know.

Happy 4th. Wish I had my gifs.

Hi Zoe and Ruth.

Hi Girls

Terri, how were the caves? Sounds interesting.

Janie, when will you find out what you got on your presentation? I bet you did well. 2 years did go by very quickyly. I'm so glad you found us.

Dianne, hope you're having fun.

Jen, how's that wonderful pool? My oldest sister just bought my brother & his family a pool. They'll be getting it this week. The kids are so excited. She is the one with the big bucks. She never had children. She's David's godmother. She's very cheap but when it comes to her family she looks out.

I am got so tanned I don't even recognize myself when I look in the mirror. No plans for today.

Enjoy your day.

Hugs,
Es

Es ,
WOW!!!! A pool? That is wonderful. What kind?
Must be nice. LOL Enjoy that tan.

Hope y'all had a great 4th. We went 1000 ft. into the ground into a gold mine. It was awesome. It was an hour tour. LOVED it. Then we went into Cripple Creek, Co. it is amazing. It is an old mining town that is supposedly haunted and has all old buildings but once tourism went down they turned it into a huge casino.
Every building is a casino. They had people standing outside the buildings trying to coax you in to gamble and they told us to deposit our kids in the arcade and come on in. YEAH RIGHT!!!!
There were some hard characters on those sidewalks.

After, we went to the best fireworks display I had ever seen.
It was fun. I hope you had a great 4th.

Happy Belated 4th of July,

Sounds as if everyone has been busy. I spend most of my waking hours studying. I managed to make an A last month in my accounting class. We took our final last Monday and started classes on the next session the next day.

Did everyone have a good fourth? We ended up having a barbeque. My mother called yesterday morning saying that she was bringing hamburger meat to grill, Maurice went to the store and brought ribs, chicken and bratwurst sausage. We had all three daughters and their families. I tried to get a photo of all six grandchildren together; of course, Dylan was throwing a fit because he didn't want to come inside for the photo. Soon as I get it resized I'll post it.

I'll check in again tomorrow. It's getting late and I'm ready for bed.

Ruth,
Sounds like you had a busy 4th. I'll bet it was wild and fun.
Glad you had a good time. It is always good to do other things so you don't get burned out.

Today we went to an Outlet mall and got the kids shoes, backpacks, sunglasses, books and toys.
But then my mom called on Bruce's cell and she told us that my sister's MIL, who was taking care of 1 of her 3 dogs while she and her hubby are in Fl., had to take Scotty (Shelty-14) to the emerg. vet and the dr. called my sister and had to get permission to put him to sleep. His heart gave out all of a sudden. Everyone was crying. Her MIL felt awful. My sister feels guilty and I had to talk to her a lot. My heart broke for her. She has no kids and these dogs are her babies. My mom is taking care of her 2 yorkies. 1 of which (Abbey-13) had a malignant growth taken off her lip last week. My sister still doesn't know if it spread yet. They are going to test her on the 12 to see if it spread. she was a wreck last week. Then 2 weeks before that she founds out Georgie (3) has epilepsy. What a month for my poor sister. Thanks for listening.

Unhappy

Hi,

Terri, my heart goes out to your sister. Our pets are like our children. I feel really bad for her. I don't know much about the pool but I do know it's huge.

Ruth, welcome back! So funny about Dylan. He was having a good time.

I'm invited to 2 barbecues. One July 19th & the 20th. I'll eat before I go so I won't be tempted to eat too much. Even though when it's hot I eat less.

Today I'm going shopping. I need tank tops & a bathing suit. Pete wants to go to the beach. We'll see.

Till later

Have a wonderful day my buddies.

Love,
Es
