Jayne - I missed you in my last post, sorry. I hope your tummy is feeling better soon!
Kim - I got dragged by one of those types of dogs when I was little. I won't be walking them for you. At least it's workout of sorts.

Hello!

Hi everyone!! Sorry I'm posting so late, I started a post earlier, realized it was just a bunch of boring rambling and decided to wait until I had something worthwhile to post. Not that anything in my post is worthwhile...

Well, as one of my co-workers pointed out, I worked out twice before noon. I'm an animal!! And I'm going to do one more workout right after work. The reason I'm suddenly feeling more gung-ho is because I had sort of an epiphany last night... I went to my parent's for dinner last night for dinner and jumped on the scale while I was there. I didn't think I'd been eating that badly, and I figured even if I was, the exercise would make up for it. I was so wrong. My signature below reflects how bad it was. I am up 24 lbs from the lowest I've weighed while on WW. I am getting fat. My clothes don't fit, I want to disappear walking down the hall, and just don't feel good about myself. So, I had a long talk with my mom about everything (she's struggled with weight, too). Then, I called and had a heart-to-heart with Aaron. I came to a couple of conclusions. 1) I've let myself slack off too much on WW. I ate a couple points over, figured it was no big deal and it eventually reached the point where I went way over and figured no big deal. 2) I've also made exercise less of a priority and used it as an excuse to eat more, thinking "Oh, activity points". Basically, I've just been lazy and didn't care. Aaron has agreed that we focus too much on eating when we're together, and that we should be more active when we're together. So, I have his support and my family's support and everyone at work is trying to lose weight, so that helps a lot. :)

That's about the only thing going on here... Tonight, I'm going to watch my mom walk in Relay For Life Survivor's Lap and take a few pictures. (Scrapbook opportunity). Then, Aaron and I are going to get together for a little while. At 9:30 I'm meeting a couple of friends at the Funny Bone to see Dave Attel. Should be a fun night. :)

Kier--I wish I could be home, enjoying the windows open and a nice, new outfit!! :) Have fun with the cleaning!

Becki--Hope the house-seeing went well for you. And it's nice here, too, I'm going to try to spend a little time outdoors tonight. And, no, it's not just you--onion bagels with hazelnut cream cheese is WIERD. I'm the same way when I walk by myself--I just sort of lose myself in thought. I think if everyone did some peaceful walking by themselves, we'd have world peace. :D

Laura--CB must be a little twig of a thing!! Of course, I'm used to Aaron--he's 6'5" and 250 lbs... It sounds like you've formulated a plan and I know you'll have no trouble sticking to it. Let's be there for each other, OK?? I've never done the WATP plus abs. I just have the 1-Mile, 2-Mile, and 3-Mile (and those Walk Away Weights that sort of remind me of really round breasts and kind of freak me out when I use them).

Jayne--Yikes about the tummy!! I hope you're feeling 100% soon, kiddo. As far as the day to eat what you want, I kind of had a feeling that would happen. Although it's a phenomenon I've never experienced, my mom says that's what happens to her when she's been really good about being OP for a long time. I hope your birthday was great!!

Rina--I didn't see that Oprah, but a lady here at work lost a bunch of weight by basically following that concept and not eating after 6 at night. She's lost about 70 lbs since January. Bob Greene makes it really simple to understand weight loss, I think.

KT--I hope the cat dilemma was solved successfully last night for you. Do you love to take naps? I love to nap, it's one of my hobbies. I've perfected the art of napping. I've even come up with names for certain naps. The Sunny Day, The Rainy Day, The Snowy Day, and The Couch Naps. :) I love napping...

Kim--I'll walk your dogs, what kind do you have?? Evidently a couple of big ones... Just think, you'll get some activity points. :D

OK, ladies, I gotta get ready for some drill thing that I can't get out of. Sigh... Talk to you later!!

Jess - tonight, it's the couch nap. My sister naps all the time and I think it's silly. Then I get tired and I realize how valuable a nap can be. And we did get the cat in eventually. You and Aaron could spend some great time together walking or hiking or bike riding. That might get you more active. Its always more fun when you can do it with someone.

They're both about 55-60 lbs. Toby is a husky mix; Stella is a retriever mix. Toby HAS been to dog obedience and he's 8, so he's not so bad to walk, but put them together and it's craziness. Stella is 3 but still thinks she's a puppy. I should have taken her to doggy school when I first got her, but except for the leash thing, she's very well behaved, comes when I call her, etc. There are pictures on my website!
