Love Kier The MIA Chick |
KIERIE!!! I've missed you!!! Glad you're back! Where are you applying for jobs? I know you applied for a few the the Nornthern Upper Midwest, right? :)
Good morning to everyone else. Aaron and I plan on laying around in our pajamas until at least noon today, so I'll be around. Next week is going to be so overwhelming that I figured we needed just one day to do that. On Monday the cleaning lady comes and cleaning up for her to come Sunday night (picking up all Aaron's toys and stacking them on the couch so she can vacuum, taking everything off the dressers and the piano so she can just dust and put them back, etc. ) is no small task. Then again, when you pay by the hour, it's pretty easy to find that motivation. On Tuesday my mom and aunt are coming for a visit and to bring all their crap to have a garage sale in my garage. Wednesday will be pretty busy setting up for the sale. Thursday is my long workday (but the last day of Early Childhood classes for the year -- yeah!!!) so Grandma and Auntie will take Aaron to do fun things. Friday and Saturday will be the sale, not to mention Friday night being the end-of-year picnic for our program. Busy busy busy, but it makes me feel better to type it all our here and lay it out. What are everyone's weekend plans? Mine include a mother-daughter banquet at our church Saturday (a sweet sweet lady is taking me as her daughter since my own mom can't make it), stamping with friends Saturday late afternoon, and the rest of the weekend going through all of our clothing and cleaning out the basement to get all of our rummage sale items together. Oh yeah, and cleaning out the garage too, I guess. Looking forward to hearing from all of you today! |
Morning Kier and Jayne!
Can I just say Rina, 5 pairs of shoes??? Not possible!! I am totally hungover this morning and even last night I was thinking I needed to have McDs for breakfast or Chipotles for lunch. Of course I had eaten dinner at 4:15, which consisted of some bag salad mix and a 1/2c of rice and peas. Well, I weighed in this morning and am down 1.5 lbs, so I think I would just feel too guilty if I get Chipotles (big honkin burritos). We'll see. Hopefully a lean cuisine will satisfy me just as well (yeah right!). But I must confess, I went in to the work kitchen when I got here and there were BBQ potato chios and fritos on the table...so I had a serving. Oh well. I REALLY don't want to be here today, hopefully my boss will be lax and I can sneak some extra time in to post more! |
Hi Ladies! Thanks for your support yesterday - I'm in a much better mood today - surprising since I got on the scale and am up another 1.8. I have gained back a total of 14lbs exactly from my lowest WW weight. I know that I've kept of 26lbs and that is an accomplishment in itself, but I need to seriously think about whether I'm willing to gain it all back or if I'm going to make the committment to myself to start losing again. If I don't, I will most assuredly gain it all back.
Kier - so glad to see you chica - good luck with the job hunt! Lexxy - you can do this - making a healthy choice will make you feel so good about yourself that you won't even notice the hangover. Jayne - your schedule is beginning to sound like mine! Glad you and Aaron are having a lazy morning. I'm sure you and your "mom" will enjoy the banquet at church. I don't really have plans for the weekend as I work both Saturday and Sunday. Since I worked last night and will again on Monday night, I figure that tonight will be sucked up by household errands. Good news though - after this weekend, I have the next 2, count them TWO, weekends off. And I didn't even ask for them! I normally get 1 weekend off every 3 months or so - and I have to request the time off. So you can see how excited I am by this development! BBL. Laura |
HI KIER!
Jayne - I wish I could lay around in my jammies all morning...I'm jealous! Lexxy - Congrats on the loss! Laura - I know how you feel. I weighed myself this morning and it came back at 162. My lowest was 151. I really have to get started back on track too. I keep trying and I can't even get through a whole day lately. Well, I have to vent here. I'm really in a pissy mood today because Jay and I had this huge fight last night. So I stayed up late reading and fell asleep on the futon and then woke up at 3am and got in bed for the rest of the night. So not only am I still mad, but my arm and my back are sore from falling asleep in the position I did on the futon (I can't lay in bed and try to fall asleep when I'm all upset). So here I am at work and I'm pretty upset and a little depressed and I wish I was at home wrapped up in a blanket with some hot tea reading my book. I think I'm going to ask if I can leave early today. We'll see how I feel after my lunch break...maybe it will be better. Well for Mother's Day we are going to meet Jay's family at the Chinese restaurant they go to every year for Mother's day. It's real Chinese, not the Chinese-American stuff and it's sooooo yummy! Then we are going to go visit my mom and then come back home. I'll check back in later. |
Laura and Lori - I'm totally with you. I think this time last year I was 151, also my lowest. Now I'm 164, going through this all over again....
And I would love to be curled up in my bed! I have to stop thinking about it.... |
Ohhh bed...book....the perfect solution to the rainy day!
Lori - the key thing is that you try every day. You may not succeed, but can you imagine where you'd be if you didn't try at all? I looked at your stats and this is what I see. Lexxy has lost and kept off 36lbs and Lori has lost and kept off 59.2. You guys are amazing! All of us have lost and kept off a substantial amount of weight. That says to me that we can do this! The question is how we go about doing it - in my case, I need to learn to work the program according to my current lifestyle instead of continually trying to work it like I did when I first lost weight and then giving up when I "fail". What about you? Laura |
Good morning!
It's so hot & humid this morning -- I love it, it means summer is really on the way! Maybe I'm just in a good mood because I had a day off yesterday & it's Friday! I also bought a couple plants yesterday & some pots to put them in for my balcony. And some new workout shorts & top. And I got paid & I went grocery shopping for GOOD foods! Well I stepped on the scale this morning & was down 3.5 from last Friday!! I really really want to keep this momentum up. But I'm heading home this weekend to visit my family and also my friends have decided that we're going to have a bar crawl on Saturday... dangerous to my eating habits! Hi Kier! Jayne -- sounds like you've got a crazy weekend planned -- enjoy your morning relaxing! Lexxy -- congrats on the loss! Hope you feel better soon Laura -- I love having my weekends free, I volunteered for overtime next weekend, and I can already tell I'm going to be extremely cranky about it! But I can't give up on the money... Lori -- I hope you feel better too -- just think, it's Friday & the day will be over soon, then you can enjoy the weekend with your book! Back to work... |
hey girls am in the middle of a never ending project and am going in saaaane yet am staying away from the mountains i kid you not) of candy that surround me DIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEET COOOOOOOOOKE
|
uh oh....they ordered pizza for our team.....damn them!!
|
Diet Coke Kier - Diet Coke! And just so you know, that pile of candy has been infested by maggots!
Angie - congratulations on the 3.5 - you go girl! Laura |
Mmmm, maggoty candy...
Well, here we are at firday and I couldn't be happier. OK, I could be happier if the Canucks had one, but the Wild outplayed them and I wish them the best of luck against the Ducks. I worked all last weekend so I'm looking forward to my first day off in a while tomorrow. I'll be studying but at least I won't have to go to work. then I work Sunday night and all next week too. No mother's day plans cause my mom is going to Virginia to see my sister but it's my other sister's birthday on Saturday. I wanted to make her a cake so I could have the fun of baking and only eat one piece at her celebration but she doesn't want one so I guess I'll buy her something. Rina - I'm totally rooting for Matt cause I think they made him look really bad. Of course, it could turn around and Rob could end up with the cash, we'll see. I'm hugely looking forward to the Amazing Race too! Kier - Hi stranger! You're almost there, you'll finish soon. Jayne - I wish I was still in my PJs. I wore tights to work today so I could pretend. Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned but it will probably be nice to get rid of your garage sale stuff. Lexxy - I hope you did well with pizza avoidance... Laura - it's nice to be able to look forward to a couple of weekends off. Make sure some of your time is spent relaxing. Angie - you're quite the loser! Way to go on the 3.5!!! OK, back to slave labour. I'll be so happy to see 4:30. KT |
AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!! I went to Starbucks with someone (I wasn't hungry becasue of the mood I was in) and I got a Grande Mocha Frappuccino and shared a scone with them and my "lunch" was 11.5 points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm up to 17 points for the day now and my range is 20-25 !!!! =( Guess its salad for dinner! All I have here for a snack if I get hungry this afternoon is FF Microwave popcorn, so I guess thats not too bad (2 points a bag). I'm gonna go nuts if I get really hungry tonight tho!
|
Lori, I'm with you! It's salad for me for dinner tonight too. I had 2 pieces of pizza for lunch. It's my favorite non-chocolate food, what can you do. I'm trying to get in touch with my friend who is in town this weekend to see what she wants to do tonight. I know it will involve some drinking, but I'd like to have an idea as to what extent....then I'm supposed to be driving to the beach tomorrow and then coming back the next day. Argh, damn I wish I had Monday off!
|
It was the chicken salad sandwhich that got me. It looks deceptively healthy - whole wheat high-fiber bread, tomato, lettuce.....but that darn mayo.....
KT - no offense but I hope the Wild open up on the Ducks. Those darn Ducks took out the Wings in a shamefully fast fashion. Lori - you still have 8 points by my calculation you could have 3oz of chicken, a cup of rice, green beans and a veggie salad for that. No need to starve tonight! Lexxy - have fun with your friend. Do any of you ever think that WW is too focused on not going over points in a day? I mean our bodies are designed on nutrituion over time not nutrition over a 24 hr period. Laura |
