Still eating well but why does it take twice as long to lose as gain! I am losing about a 1/2lb a month and in 4 weeks gained 6!!!!!!!!

I got a lot of work to do to get his room ready and no one is helping me so I may be away for awhile..just be too pooped to get here. He is gonna have snacks here too! Changes everything for DH and I..no more tricks on the ball in the livingroom!LOL

The real problem is is we have no storage space so I was using his room for that,my clothes and Christmas stuff now I have to find someplace elese to put them!!!!!!!!!!Gonna have to dig deep in the closets!

Ofcourse I remember you, wow is it good to have you back. I take it the ankle healed up properly? I moved from Maine back home to Massachusettes to be near my family after my divorce. Yes I am a grammy, can you believe it? Setina has been missing for awhile but I hope she comes back and says hi soon, I sure do miss her. Judygal has been gone for awhile due to medical problems and I am hoping she will show up soon for a visit. PJ has been missing for a bit and we are really worried about her. I am gonna copy this and move it to the thread, see you there.

Candice, it doesn't seem fair does it? So easy to gain and so hard to lose, wish we could reverse it. Sounds like you are working on it though, keep it up and it will come back off.

I'm here. I's sooooooo cold for Forida........in the low to mid 30''s. I was devasted when I passed by Missy's barn and saw her standing in the pasture by herself with NO BLANKETS !!!!! She's got TWO winter blankets but they were not on her........but on two other horses. I observed from the road and would you believe the "slimebucket"' who owns the propety had the "balls" to call the sherrif's dept. on ME??????????? Saying that I put the blanket on her? I've had it. I went to my lawyers and said "give it all you've got".........so here I am.........I'll let you all know know how it turns out.

Hey girl, thank goodness you are allright. I have been sooooooo worried about you. I am so sorry for what Missy has been going through. What beautiful pictures. I hope your lawyer is able to do something. Missy is very lucky to have you fighting for her, I just hate it when someone mistreats an animal.

I just got back from shopping at Michael's and Spags, long day but lots of fun. I won't even discuss the meal I ate at IHOP but just to say it was sooooo yummy and god only knows how many points:s:

Aww Brenda - Thanks for thinking about me and boy.....did I make alot of typos in that post. My mind was obviously not on my spelling. :dizzy:

You're all not going to believe this. My lawyer's wife is someone I know. She's also an attorney and they work together as partners. Yesterday, I spoke with HER.....she owns a beautiful, huge barn with more than 20 horses so she really understands....it was so wonderful to see her and be able to talk to someone who knew where I was coming from. She took care of everything and since I've seen her....I have a few more demands I'm going to ask her to make before they deliver Missy on Monday.....YEP!!!! that's right. I get Missy back THIS Monday! I'd like to have my vet there when she's delivered to my barn as well as my lawyer so he can see that she's not in good health. I am NOT giving them back ONE CENT of the money they gave me towards Missy. They still owe $400. It's going to cost me atleast that on the vaccinations and worming and shoeing, etc. I just can't wait to wrap my arms around her neck. Sorry to all of you who are sick of hearing me talk about Missy and all of my problems lately but the past couple of months have really sucked!!!!!!!:mad:
I mean it, from my fall on New Years Day......2003 has NOT got off to a good start for me. I'll just have to realize that things are only going to get better from here. They surely can't get any worse.

I had a barrell racing lesson this morning and my instructor talked me into going with her to WW. I'm rejoining again after a two year absense and I really need it. I'm at 200 lbs. again and am totally out of control. PAYING each week ought to give me a bit of a kick in the a** and stay OP. Besides, I'll be 45 this year and it's that time in my life where I'm really starting to feel everything that hurts all of the time. My WEIGHT is a major factor....putting too much strain on all of my joints. I feel like a porker on a horse and there is no worse feeling when you're riding than thinking your big butt is hanging off the back of the saddle. I was using HER saddle today and it was just a little too small......so yes, Pamela's Bertha Butt was hanging over the edge of the saddle......Eeeeeeewwwwwwww. Just THAT was enough to get me to be good today. Heh-heh. And after finding my WW digital calculator last week too........sheez.........I have GOT to get my self under control and I'm not going to use everything that's been going on as an excuse....although since not having Missy......I haven't been NEARLY as active.....but no excuses. I should stick with doing my walking every day and everything else I say I'll do....know I'll do ........ and it's just a matter of finding the time......no.....MAKING the time to do it. Soooooo, with that in mind...I'll bid you all a good night and sweet dreams.

Hey PJ, Wow it is so good to see you back and sounding like your old self too. I am so glad you are getting Missy back, I am sure you and missy will be so much happier and at ease. And ofcourse as usual we are in the same boat, heh, heh!!:^: I have been out of control for months and right now I am 20lbs up. I have done well the last few days and like you, I am re-joining ww, hopefully this week. So anyway, I am right there with you as usual. Our lifes seem to follow the same lines alot. I have also had someone harassing me, sending me and another girl threatening notes and voice mails at work and I don't know if it is the same person but a few weeks ago someone through a mailbox through the back window of my van, right in my driveway!! I am trying not to let it get to me but its hard. The police can't seem to do much.

Ok Brenda - You can't just tell me someone through a mailbox through the back of your van and then say "ok, gotta go....the super bowl is on". AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

If you have a video camera....try leaving it on just before you go to bed.......you never know.....you just might get something on there. As for the police, they HAVE to make extra patrols if you reported the incident. You were vandalized and they have to check your residence every hour or so. Atleast they would have to do that here......just call and ask, it can't hurt. Have any of your friends things been "hit"?
You sound like you're taking this too lightly. I'm not trying to scare you Bren, but don't EVER take a threat lightly. The jerk I got the restraining order from kept pushing me until I finally got his sorry a** thrown in jail. Don't let these NUTS scare you ...... but don't be foolish or careless either. Leave your outside lights on ALL night. So you'll pay a few more dollars on your electric bill......it's a well known and proven fact that LIGHTS are one of the best deterrents to theives and "bad guys". Just please take my advice, even if I DO sound like a nag. You really can't be too careful today.

So, on a lighter note......did you see the interseption tonight and then he landed not even TWO FEET from making a touchdown? Oh man!!!!!!! I couldn't believe me eyes. That has GOT to make the "play of the week".......:lol: I thought it was a really good game. Bill's Aunt and Uncle from New York called us this morning and told us they were in town and that they thought they were pretty close to us.......pretty close????? How about 15 minutes away? It was great......we had the two of them over for the super bowl and Bill got a beautiful filet mignon.....it cost us $80.00 !! but then we don't see these relatives very often and it was special........well, during half-time, I went into the kitchen to check on the baked potatoes and noticed the tin foil I had put on the meat to let it "rest" after I took it out of the oven had been lifted a little.....I asked Bill where the other half of the meat was........he didn't know........then I realized I didn't see Max around....(our yellow lab).........that MUTT ate half of the freaking thing!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it????!!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was ready to kill him......so I just threw his sorry a** out on the patio and that's where he's staying until tomorrow morning. God only knows how many times he'll have to "go" tonight AND tomorrow.........UNBELIEVABLE! forty bucks of meat.......literally gone to the dog(s).

ok.....I'm very pooped.........it's off to the couch for a little sleep provoking news and then I'm off to LA LA LAND.

LOL, after I read your post to me I went back and read my post and was laughing my a** off!! Sorry about that, I did end it kind of weird. Yes we did file a police report about the mailbox and also about the letters and voice mails we have received at work, no fingerprints on anything, I think they know what they are doing. I am not sure if the mailbox thing was connected to the work thing or not but we are keeping our eyes out. If anything else happens at my house I will get a camera or something. It may have been random but nobody else's vehicle was touched and we don't know where the mailbox came from. We will see.

Yes the game was awesome and what an ending huh? I figured the game was pretty much over since there was not even a minute left and I was gonna win $70 for the final quarter when all of a sudden all heck broke loose and the score changed and my money was gone.:dizzy: I did however win $150 on the second quarter so I didn't feel too bad.

Wow, that is awful about the meat, Yikes!!

Candice, I am feeling pretty in control so far. Tomorrow will not be so well though I am going out with 2 other women for dinner after work to Nancy Changs which is a chinese restaurant but they specialize in healthier fare, baked not fried so it shouldn't bee too awful. The butts in gear, let's hope it stays there for awhile.

Brenda... That's just awful about the mailbox! Keep your eyes and ears open and stay safe! Sounds like you're doing good OP! That's great! Sometimes it can be sooo hard to get back on track. I have been having a hard time deciding whether or not to do WW again but after coming back here and reading everyones posts I remembered that it does work and I lost quite a bit of weight doing it before so I'm just going to jump right in and go for it! I have an added incentive, Jeff and I are going to Las Vegas in April with 6 other friends and I DO NOT want to weigh what I weigh right now, so I'm dusting off the Tae Bo tapes and staying OP!

PJ...I've been trying to catch up with everyone and it sounds like you've had one heck of a 2003 so far, you poor girl! I'm glad to hear you're getting your horse back though. How are your kids? I hope all is well! I think I would have cried if a dog ate my filet mignon!! He'd of been dead meat!!! We have a hedgehog named Zoe that Jeff got my daughter for Christmas and she's a little doll. We just love playing with her and she no longer rolls up into a prickly ball when we pick her up!

Candice...Sorry to hear that you've got all that work to do! It can be so hard to find a place to store everything once you've had a big room to put it all in! Good luck to you on having your son move back in! Sorry to hear that your other son is moving to Chicago. Maybe he'll get out there and decide that it's just not for him.

Well I thought I'd take some time to catch you all up on what's been going on in my life. After I broke my foot a few years ago it never really healed right and I went through some really hard times, financially and emotionally. Things just weren't going well at all. I kept trying to teach dance and then one day I was driving home from teaching and it hit me....teaching dance and hanging on to that stupid dream was actually making me miserable! So I quit! Just up and quit! I walked away from it and never looked back. It was the best decision I've ever made. I worked at a bank in town for a year and it was through the bank that I met Jeff. He is the best man you'll ever meet. He's a special ed teacher and he adores my daughter. My mom says he's the kind of guy a mother would choose for her daughter if she was allowed to choose. Anyway, we moved in together a couple of months ago and now we are in the final stages of buying a house. It has 15 acres, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a walk out basement. Jeff and his dad built 5 houses together so any changes we want to make to the house(like a nursery someday!) he can do himself. Also, I'm now working three nights a week as a polysomnograph technician, which is a fancy title for a sleep study technician. I do sleep studies on people who may have sleep apnea. I love it and it's the best money I've ever made. It's also nice to only work 3 nights a week, but on those days I probably won't post much!

My daughter is doing wonderfully, she's getting sooo big. She's 7 now and is just an absolute joy. I must have stumbled around and done something right by her, LOL!

I am still here, just busy as usual. I have a co-worker at work who has been battling Uterine cancer for a year or so. We are planning a benefit dinner, dance and chinese auction for her on March 15th. Right now I am getting online while I print out 500 tickets to sell. A chinese auction is fun and profitable. We go around to local businesses and ask for a gift certificate or item to auction off. At the benefit we will have all the items on a table with a container in front of each. Then we sell raffle tickets and people put them in whatever container they wish to win, at the end of the night we draw one name from each to win the prizes. so far we have 2 live lobsters, $100 savings bond, Various dinners for 2, breakfasts for 2 an Avon basket, a Mary Kay basket, a home and garden item etc... and we have only went out one day getting donations. We have the Elks club free for 6 hours and a free DJ, so far, so good. It is alot of work though.

Wow Las Vegas, what a fun thing to look forward to. I am sure you will slim down before then and have a ball. I am still struggling and basically maintaining instead of losing or gaining, it is a start I guess.

Sam.....my son and Dh both have ahd sleep studies and both have sleep apnea so I know what your job is! Sounds like your are relaly hapy now..good for you changing jobs!

Bren...Sounds like you guys are doing a great job with the donations! When I was in high school I used to be the queen of getting donations! Cancer is such an awful thing. Jeff's (DBF) mom has small cell lung cancer and we thought it was in remission(sp) but we found out this week that it has moved to her brain. It doesn't look good for her and it's such a sad thing. Jeff's parents have been married for 35 years and she quit smoking 4 years ago and they retired a few years ago to travel around and now this happens. Anyway we keep trying to look on the bright side but the bright side keeps getting smaller and smaller.

Candice...Do your husband and son have CPAP machines? Those are just so lovely! Hehehe! They really help though. Hope things are going well with the big move! Take care!
