We installed our DSL modem yesterday and we're trying to figure out how to get it to work reliably. It couldn't possibly be as simple as the instructions. It installs easily enough and it works, but we keep getting error messages and when I tried to post earlier, the window kept closing at random intervals. Of course, tech support is so busy that I can't get through, but we have a month to get it all worked out. If we can't get it working reliably, back it goes because I'm not paying for something that doesn't work.

Lauren, somehow I missed that you lost 2 pounds. Super!! :yes: What you said about being tied to your journal and treadmill hit home. I'd much rather be tied to a journal and exercise program than tied to both of those, plus medication, especially if I had to inject it with a needle. Or have a stroke or heart attack young. Thanks for the reminder.

I am going to follow WW again this year. I know that I can do it, long-term. The main thing is that I have to commit and stick with it. I've been reading recently that one of the worst things for your "good" cholesterol levels and your risk of heart problems is losing and gaining weight over and over. I need to either stay where I am or stick with the weight loss program. I'm not willing to stay here, so it's commitment time. I'm really determined that this is the year that I make my kitchen skills work for me, instead of against me.

The other thing I must do this year is to make a real commitment to exercise. I need to be more consistent and to gradually increase the level of exercise I do.

Kaylets, good luck with resisting the many temptations around you. You can do it, I'm sure.

My brother is coming down tomorrow so we'll be going to San Jose to my mom's. It will be so cool!! I'm going to bake some brownies or cookies this afternoon. My mom requested that I do because she hasn't done any baking this year.
