Lifetime Member question
Hello All,
I am interested about the specifics of lifetime membership. I am gar away from goal (32 lbs) but I am interested in finding out about becomming a flietime meber. I understand that you have t be at goal for 6 weeks but do you have to be at your goal or simply within your goal weight? I am within goal at 141 but in my head my goal is 135. If I stay below 141 for 6 weeks am I a lifetime member even if I am trying to get to 135? I also wonder if you go above your goal do you have to start your 6 weeks all over again? Thanks for the answers, I am hoping to be at goal before next summer:) So I have lots of time to go but I'm just interested. Hope everyone had a great day. Smiles, Sarah:dizzy:  :strong: |
Hi Sarah!
If I were you, I would declare goal at 141 if that is the top of your weight range (your leader will discuss your goal with you as you get closer to your range) That way, you can stop paying sooner as work your way down to your personal goal. So, yes - if you declare goal at 141 and don't go any higher than 144 (I think you have a 3 point leeway - someone correct me if I'm wrong) for 6 weeks, you will be declared a lifetime member. I hope that helps a bit. Good luck on your journey! |
Jen is correct, but its 2 pounds not three. If you declare 141 as your goal then you can't go above 143 in those 6 weeks. I'm not sure about starting the 6 weeks again if you DO go over.

No, you never have to do the 6 weeks again. As a Lifetime Member you are required to weigh in monthly. If you are over the 2 lb above goal range, you pay that week. Otherwise, you have a free weigh in.
Once ou have Lifetime status you will never have to pay the initial start up fee again. You can quit for as long as you want, (don't do it!)then you only have to pay the weekly fee the weeks you weigh in and are over! Hope this helps! |
Hi there;)
Thanks for the info, my question was really what happened if I was at goal for 5 weeks and then I went up on week 6. I wondered if the 6 weeks started all over again. (or at week 3 and then gained..ect..) I also want to choose the 141 (highest level for my height, as my goal but it says this for 45+ people but I am 28) I just wonder if I can choose 141 as my goal anyway. I want one I can stick with forever. Thanks, Sarah |
OK All I know is...at the END OF THE 6 WEEKS you have to be no more than 2 poudns above your goal. You could gain 5 pounds your 3rd week, but as long as you are not over 2 pounds on the SIXTH WEEK you make lifetime. What happens if you are not under the 2pound+ limit on the 6th week, I don't know.

Thanks for all of your answers, I hope that I didn't upset anyone by my dense asking questions over and over:)
I am "up tight" because someone at my meeting said that they are "cracking down" in our location and that once you pick your goal you cannot lose much more, at least they don't want you to. My goal in my mind is 135 but I can have lifetime at 141 and since I've never been really thin I want to select a goal which I can maintain. I was just concerned that I'd never really get there. I know I'm putting the cart before the horse talking about this in the first place but I'm using the attitude that I will indeed get to goal instead of thinking what happend "if" I get to goal:) Thanks all! Smiles, Sarah |
Sarah,
*L* I seem to find you everywhere! OK, if the goal you want is different than the goal they will let you have, all you have to do is get a form and get your doctor to sign it. Then, your goal can be whatever you want. (Within healthy reason, which 141 is!) Next, as long as you are within the weight range for your height and weight, they cannot do anything! If you go below the minimum recommended weight you will once again have to get a letter signed by a doctor! My goal was 148 and I was down to 137 for awhile and the various weighers and leaders had no problem with that. Man, I can't wait to get there again! :) Hope this helps! Tara |
Hi Tara,
Thanks, I get different stories from people at my meetings so I am happy to hear what you say. I have never been thin so I just have no idea where I want to stop weight wise. Time will tell. Smiles, Sarah |
