HEY... Went to the gym and did some cross training... then jogged for 2 1/2 minutes. That is a HUGE accomplishment for me. I walked the rest of the time. I used to jog a little back in college, but then had some knee issues, so I can't do it a lot. I jogged almost 1/4 of a mile. YEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWW!!

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO JEN!!!! I'm so PROUD of you, girlfriend! Wanna be Nike girls with Cat and me (when I get off my butt and run again, that is)?

KT, you are a wedding fool! What a busy summer it has been for you, and what a demanding group you seem to work with. We'll send Kier there to with her Jersey whoop @ss when she's done in Omaha.

Laura, did you do something to anger the car gods? It is nice to be independent, but I gotta say...it's also extremely nice to split the dirty work in half. I'm glad your friend was there to do that for you. No matter how independent and well-educated women are, you still hear horror stories about men taking advantage of them in car situations.

Lori, do I have to have six kids to get the next one out in a push and a half? That sure beats the 45 minutes I took doing it! You really need to relax and have fun on your day off!!! Do a lot of sunbathing instead of a little.

Tonya, you sound very much like me when it's time to just do something for myself. If I neglect myself, it comes out in so many other ways. Get a pedicure or buy new shoes...that always helps me. Oh wow, I sound like a condescending husband from the 50's, telling the "little woman" what she needs when she's at that time of the month. Sorry...(but still do it, it really does help!)

Cat, time off of school is supposed to be lazy...it's your vacation. Enjoy it, because you've worked really hard and this isn't going to happen again for quite some time. Savor it, and take a few naps, wouldja (that is, when you're not busy being a Nike woman!)?

Still having great interview angst. I tried on a beautiful suit that I bought for $300 a few years ago and it's huge. It's a great problem and a terrible problem all in one. Oh, and all my blouses are hanging so much I look clownish in them. I am going to have a seamstress take all the expensive stuff in so it doesn't go to waste, but she can't do it before next week. So I am going suit shopping. I hate to do it since I (hopefully) won't be able to wear it long, but I'll have to try to find something that could be taken in when I'm a skinny minny. I've been in maternity clothes and t-shirts for so long now I really don't know what businesswear is in style like I used to. I wonder if all this anxiety is worth it!

Ok, I'm going to go fret now!

Jayne, don't fret, your classic suit styles never change. Jazz them up with a fun scarf or something and you will be set!!! I had LOTS of suits that were too mig for me in my closet. I listed them on ebay and they were snagged up. Some at quite decent prices for a used suit. Plus sizes seem to sell much better than the little sizes. Good thing for me!!! I don't wear suits much anymore, just to important meetings and conferences. Otherwise I wear dress pants and fun dresses and skirts. And occasionally jeans, but not that often. The comp. programmers always wear jeans here.

OK, had my interview and she was much better than her resume makes her out to be. Tho that is because she has a 1 year old baby and has stayed at home with the baby, so there is a gap. Makes me more comfortable meeting her. Have another interview tomorrow!!

Other than that, I am counting the minutes until I get to go home. 1 1/2 hours left.

Today I hit the 10% mark. I never thought that I would be this excited!!

The Little D 08-15-2002 06:09 PM

2 pages of posts today?? I have a lot of catching up to do. Hmmm ...

Well, I've got to say "WOO HOO!!!" Saffista.

I'm going to dinner w/ a friend & my son. She's never met him. I hope he's on good behavior. He usually is, and we're going to TGIF so I know he'll eat & keep us entertained.
Do you girls think chix fajita's are a good food choice? If I keep it light on the cheese & sour cream ... I don't know what to get ... I'm going to print the Points page for TGIF off of DWLZ and bring it with me. That's what I'll do!
Anyhow, she & her new hubby just closed on a house & moved this past week. She commutes into NYC & hubby has a meeting & can't pick her up (she doesn't drive) so I'm going to pick her up & grab something to eat. They really are an awesome couple - I hope he's able to meet up w/ us too.

It's been a busy day @ work for me. And a busy week looks like coming up. I might head up to Foxwoods Casino resort w/ my best friends. Not that we gamble, it's the environment we like - it's like Vegas, but not. And next Friday I'll be camping for the weekend. I'm working all of this weekend too (not to mention a 3Day walk on Saturday AM). Jam packed my schedule is. :^:

Hope to talk more tomorrow!
I've got to fill out today's "manual" journal. Good thing I post here (and revise it too), cause I can't remember what I ate yesterday!
