Hope everyone's day is going well. Due to an inadvertent mattress magnet occurence this morning (not as bad as Kier's!) I was late getting into the gym so all I did was run. Went back down on my lunch hour and did my ST - what a pick-me-up to work-out in the middle of a work day.

Lori - you are such a gym rat - way to go this weekend.

Kier - hope that your day has gotten better after the rough start.

Jess - great attitude about the slip-up and starting over. I too probably would have slipped for drinks like that!

Lucy - tell us how your first day at work went. Good job getting back on track after a difficult weekend.

Cat - Next time I'm having a high point day and don't really have enough to eat dinner, I'm going to try your trick of sleeping through the meal!

Back to work if I want to get out of here at a decent hour.

OK - the board is crazy today, I don't have enough time to read and respond cause work is crazy - I'll try to catch up at home tonight - Dad's fixing my computer - YAY. But I wanted some celebration - after 3 weeks away from WI - down 3# - YAY!!! I'm 2.2 from my August 10th goal - time to kick it into high gear.

KT: wow I just looked at your stats, you're doing amazing girl! Keep up the good work!

Lisa: ahhhh he's sweet he's nice and he's great to talk to, but no chem eh? It happens... I met a guy last week and I think there was too much chemistry... I don't think it will turn into anything though (and it's partly from my side too). Oh well I find the chem happens with people who I am not expecting it from.

Kierie: a 35 year old Lawyer? I approve:)

Jen: ah I hope things work out (regardless what you decide to do, but here's my piece of advice, trust your gut).

Cat: what are you studying?

I am just glad I am not the only chick here on the dating scene, basically all my female friends are basically settled.

Lori: good for you about the gym... I am going to have three personal training sessions to revamp my routine (need to work those inner thighs).

A big hello to everyone else!

Ali:)

Laura- I had to laugh when I saw you say you might try my idea of sleeping through a meal! I was just really tired! Although I have actually been known (on rare occaisions), to go to bed in order to avoid eating. If you're reasonably tired, it does work! Just make sure to eat breakfast the next day or you might totally pig out at lunch.

Ali- I'm an environmental science major. Which probably doesn't tell you much at all (most people have never heard of it--I get some really weird looks!). It's basically an interdisciplinary B.S. degree. You do basic science (chem, bio, physics), and then also some other stuff like modelling (math and stats- not strutting your stuff:D ). Let's see, what else....some geology, geography, and a minor in another science. Right, I think that's about it.

KT- 3# down- fantastic! 2.2 by August 10 should be nothing for you!

Lisa- hrmmmm....I think I'd go for a second date, just to check. First dates can be a mess, so much pressure to make a good impression. And, if it gets to you that he's always talking about friends w/ mortgages and kids, maybe think of some other stuff you could talk about. Maybe make a list beforehand of possible topic. Dear me, that sounds super corny, doesn't it? Anyway, if he can talk about other stuff, maybe he's not so bad. If all he can talk about is stuff that makes the age diff. painfully obvious, could definitely be a pain. Anyway, hope it all resolves satisfactorily...keep us posted! And, folk music is nifty (at any rate, I like most of the folk I've listened to.)

Jayne- so jealous of you...I wish I had a problem making minimum points! At least I'm finally getting myself to the point where I feel satisfied with my points range (even if I'm generally closer to 23 than 18!)

Lucy- Sounds like your weekend wasn't too too bad. I'm sure you've had worse (I know I have). Anyway, it shouldn't take too long to pick up again, and it does sound like you made some pretty good decisions, so you're improving. How's the new job?

Jess- Cookout---yum. They're the best part of summer, but sooooo bad for the waistline. It's nice when the weather cools down and the social eating events slow down for a bit (until thanksgiving rolls around--urgh)

Lori- You workout FIEND! Workout weekends are the best.

Kier- Good job recommitting yourself to WW. Much better than surgery. You hear so many horror stories about weight loss surgery gone awry. Whoever heard of WW ruining someone's life forever? Definitely a lower risk option, even if it is more work! And 35 isn't necessarily too old. Just see how it goes! If it starts to get weird, there are other fish in the sea:s:

Ok, off to take the dog for a walk!
