Hi everyone ...

I'm in a really down mood today. One of my closest friend's husband (my fiance and I were both in their wedding, they're both going to be in ours) has a brain tumor. It was just confirmed this morning. He started having headaches last week and ended up in the ER Tuesday night. It apparently is operable, but it's still so scary. He's only 31, no history of anything like this in his family.

I've never had a close friend ill like this before, and it's really shaken me up. Please, if you pray, say a prayer for Jeff and Suzanne. If not, please keep them in your thoughts. I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you, guys.t

Kim, you are in my thoughts and prayers, as are Jeff and Suzanne. Consider yourself hugged.

Kim-- I hope you're doing okay with the news. It's always hard when these kinds of things happen, and it kind of puts everything in reality. Hang in there, your support will mean the world.

Lisa-- Okay, but you didn't get like a cheesecake a la mode or anything, right? So, it could've been worse. Everyone has the slips, just as long as your "I'll get back on track tomorrow" is a motto for weeks to come. You've done so well, a littel treat is okay!

I don't remember who started the statements about dancing..but that is definitely something I do in the confines of my own home, and never in public!

You know when you're cooking a grilled cheese, put it on High, leave it for awhile (and forget to flip it), come back, and it's charred.. whiel the other side is still totally uncooked? yeah, that's my front right now! :o I headed out to the pool, forgot to flip (because I was sidetracked by hot scorching hot it is here) and I'm paying the price.

But, before the burn hurst, I got y workout out of the wya.. so the day is looking better. So, time #1 for this week's Labor Day Challenge is done.

:joker:

Well I hope everyone else is having a good day. And to all I didn't write.. hello!

Lucy

Hi again everyone! (two posts in one day--wow!). So, I packed my lunch and everything and then left it at home. Urgh. So I wound up having a granola bar for lunch, and then I was super hungry when I got home and ate a ton. Not super huge damage, as long as I don't eat anything else today. I figure since my "lunch" was so late and so large, I can just skip dinner and it'll all even out to only a little over. Also, the weather has cleared and it is nice and cool out (70's), so I am definitely going for that walk! Right after this post:) And then I will be doing the weights a bit later as a study break (have a test tomorrow-bleh). Oh, and, I didn't mention this earlier, but my pants are definitely feeling a tiny bit looser. Maybe all this exercise and improved eating is finally paying off!

Kim- I will definitely add Jeff and Suzanne to my prayers. I hope the doctors do a good operation.

Lucy- Sunburns- OUCH! I got a terrible terrible burn when I was about 14 and have been totally paranoid about sun ever since. I have really pale skin too, and my brother has already had to have several moles removed, so it's probably just as well. Sunblock every morning for me!

Tonya- Lucky you, getting a relaxing day!

Lisa- Don't beat yourself up over the cake or the fries. Just get extra-back on track for the rest of today and tomorrow.

Jayne- That game sounds super fun! I don't have a Play Station, but I love to dance around in my room:) And it's a great workout!

Jen- You will have to let us know how the tennis lessons go. I sense some "love" jokes coming on...:s:

KT- Way to go on losing an inch. That makes a huge difference, doesn't it?

Lexxy- hope you feel better soon! Funny that the mono isn't killing your appetite. I remember I got it in high school and the doctor told me that "lots of teens don't mind getting it because they usually lose a lot of weight" As if this should make me happy to be sick as a dog! I lost 8 pounds, but it all came back within about a week, so it's probably just as well you aren't wasting away, because you'd just be losing muscle.

Ok, now off to walk the dog and then back to the study grind. Talk to you all tomorrow AFTER my test!

Cat
