Hi everyone! I'm so sorry I haven't posted and I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth. Just so busy at work! Myra & Terri already know but I'll mention to the rest that I've started exercising in the morning (!), an awesome leap for me, since it's probably the only time I can do it my busy work schedule and kids in sports. Plus I get that surge of energy to face the day. Myra has been my #1 inspiration. I tried exercising in the mornings to Kathy Smith tapes and felt like everybody in my time zone was sleeping so nicely and I was missing out. Now with the help of the Net, Message Boards, and egroups, I'm seeing that there are many others out there who are successful at it! I LOVE my sleep, though. So far, 2 days in a row and I'll see at weigh-in on Tuesday nite how I did. But, I know already that my body is at war with the scale and even if the needle doesn't move much I know to just hang in there!! We can all only TRY! Good luck everybody and have a great week! I don't know everyone yet and Myra & Terri know I do a Great Job of not getting names right! heehee I'm much better at faces than names! :D

I'm Baaack!!!
Essie- I was so heavy hearted when I read your post. I had a big speech but as I kept reading I saw that Myra and Jen already beat me to it. I am so GLAD you are back and with a vengence. You Go!!!! You may not think so but you are an inspiration. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Jen- Thanks for calling me. hehehe I hope the party went well. That is such a cute age! My in-laws are in and it has impacted me a little in my computer time. I would die w/o my computer. Hope you enjoyed your walk. Dianne- I loved living there when we lived on the ocean. When we moved off I wasn't to crazy about it anymore. I like my seasons to. The best time to visit is in the middle of winter when you get sick of snow. Just get away for a week. It used to rejuvenate my parents. LOL Mary- Good job on the morning exercises. Myra and Pookamoon- How are you doing? Have a great weekend everyone! Terri |
Hello, Terri, MaryC, Jen, Myra, Dianne,
Pookamoon, what's doin?! It is such a beautiful day I almost went for a walk outside but my son stopped by, I love spending time with him, but then sis-in-law called with problems so there went my walk  I'll jump on my treadmill later. Terri, glad to have you back. So, your hangin with the in-laws :D When I get busy with the daily chores & can't get to my computer I miss it so much. My husband asked me the other day, how can I sit in front of my computer after having a stressful day at work. I told him this is what helps me wind down & believe it or not it relaxes me! He looked at me like I was weird  I need some advice. I've missed a couple of meetings which means I would have to pay double now. I can't really find a meeting that I enjoy so I was thinking on doing it At Home for awhile then when the "new" program comes out then I'll go back. I had bought a pre-paid 10 week plan a while back so I have 4 coupons left & I figured I'll save them until then. I get more out of the internet than I do the meetings. I have to look around for a motivating, inspirational leader. Sometimes they are way off from discussing WW. Instead they talk about their personal lives. That's okay if you know them but for the newcomers it can be very boring. One meeting they talked about their dogs for at least 20 minutes!!!!! I love dogs but here I was feeling bad about a gain & at that time I really needed support & they're talking about their dogs. So what do you think?? Should I give it another try "At Home"? I heard they're supposed to change the program slightly. I hope they don't take away the points cause it can't get any better than this. Have a great day :) [This message has been edited by livingfit426 (edited 09-29-2000).] |
Hi guys, happy Friday!
I had off today for the Jewish holiday and was "home alone". Hubby at work and daughter at school, loved it! Jen, I think I caught your sore throat and cold, so I was really glad not to have to work today. Just layed around all day, so wonderful. Hope you're feeling better. And I hope your grandson has a great 5th birthday party tomorrow - enjoy! Essie - I was so glad to see you posting again, and please, don't thank me, believe me, you'll probably be saying the same things to me when I fall off the wagon, LOL. Your pity party didn't last too long, you snapped out of it really quickly, good for you. Terri - hi girl -- glad your'e back posting. Hope your'e having a good time with your in-laws. Hi Mary - this is my face :D -- so you'll remember, LOL! Good for you with your morning exercise, wish I had that energy. Although I feel like a walked for days when I went to disney last week! Myra, Pookemoon (where are u?), hope you guys are doing well. Talk to you all soon - have a great weekend, stay strong! Dianne [This message has been edited by decemberdianne (edited 09-29-2000).] |
Hello to all my motivators :)
Dianne, anyone that does something thoughtful & helps me in any way I have to thank. That's what you did, you helped me alot without even realizing it ;) Everywhere I go someone has a cold. I guess it's the change of weather. I hope you feel better soon. What are you guys planning for Halloween? Are you giving out treats? I remember last year I made a BIG mistake & I bought Kisses, some plain & some with peanuts, well, everytime I put one in the little bag there went one in my mouth. I better not buy those this year. I have to go buy a cell phone today. Hubby took off so he can go with me since he thinks he's the expert with these things  I like his company :) I'll be busy today, first I gotta go food shopping then after I'll go see what deals they have out there with cell phones. Exercise today? I don't think so :( Depends what time I get home. Have a great day :D Essie [This message has been edited by livingfit426 (edited 09-30-2000).] |
Me Again,
I just got back from the mall. I am so excited I had to share this with you. I needed jeans/slacks for quite a while now but I kept putting it off because I wanted to lose at least 10 lbs. They were on sale so I decided heck, I need them I might as well buy them. To my surprise I AM DOWN A SIZE!!!! :D This exercise is really paying off. I went & bought myself another exercise video by Billy Blanks. It's called CRUNCH MASTER BLASTER. It's 57 minutes of toning(weights) with high powered cardio. I am on cloud nine girlfriends! :D  ;) :) I was so excited I forgot about the cell phone. I'll check that out next week. Have a great day! Essie :D |
ESSIE!! Great job on your new size!!!
   Way to go! Bet you are happy dancing! On those coupons from the 10 week. I was told by my leader that if you go 1nce every 6 weeks they keep your weight losses updated and that you wouldn't have to pay for all the missed meetings because they aren't allowed to charge more than what the registration fee would be. You would pay the equivalent of the reg. fee. If you wait longer than 6 weeks then you would pay reg. fee and start over. I was asking for my daughter. She is 14 and is waiting til' soccer is over. Definately pass out candy that the kids like that you don't. Hershey kisses would be a killer. Good luck! Stay motivated!!! :D Dianne- I hope your holiday was great! I hope you are feeling better too. Hi to everyone!!!! Terri |
Hi everyone - feeling better today, thanks. Been in this house this Thursday night though and feel like I'm going stir crazy. I'm waiting for my hubby to get home so he can go for a walk with me in the park. This way if I don't feel well while I'm there we can just drive back home. Think I need some fresh air.
Essie -- congratulations on your "down-sizing" , that's terrific. I remember how it felt to get rid of my bigger size clothes when I reached goal the first time. It felt wonderful -- way to go girl. P.S. Since you insist on thanking me, I will graciously say "you're very welcome". Terri - I'm with you on the halloween candy. Buy what you don't like so you won't be tempted. But buy one small bar that you do like so you won't feel deprived with all that candy around you. That's what I plan to do this year. Jen, Myra, Pookemoon, Mary -- hope you're all having a great weekend. Talk to you soon. Stay strong - have a great week everyone~ Dianne |
I made it through the weekend. Whew! It was tough. I visited my folks for the holiday. My mom is the typical Jewish mother, placing so much stress on food. Are you sure you have enough? Come on, have just a little bit more. I resisted as much as I could. Didn't do as well as I would have at home though. But there is always this week to try to make it up.
I hope everyone had a good weekend. ------------------ Myra 183/170.4/130 |
Morning everyone!
There were quite a few posts when I logged on today...glad to see everyone is getting back on track. Where do I start? Essie~your exercise has paid off in the smaller jeans! What a great feeling. Now that will give you the incentive to buy Halloween candy that you don't like. We never give out chocolate. The trick-or-treaters think we're just cheap, but I know it's cause I can't resist chocolate! Dianne~hope you're winning in battling your cold. Mine has been hanging on, in spite of eating well, and getting in vitamin c. Good idea about getting out of the house and walking; fresh air can do wonders. Terri~what did we do before computers? Where are we finding the time to do this? I think I have the best of both worlds...wonderful childhood memories of growing up in the 50's and 60's, yet being still young enough now to enjoy the technology of the new century. Hope your visit from the in-laws goes well. Mary Claire~ I have a niece with the same name! It'll be easy to remember. I think it's great that you're making the time to exercise. It's amazing how good it makes you feel; keep up the good work! Myra~hope you enjoyed your holiday with your folks. I'm sure you did better than you think you did; at least you made your Mom happy by being there with her. Those times together are so important, don't you think? Well, after a long weekend, I'm glad it's Monday to get back on track. Brandon's birthday party went well; the weather was beautiful, and we were able to be in the yard. My husband's truck was broken into on Saturday evening. His laptop and some computer equipment were stolen. Now it's the hassle of dealing with the insurance co., etc. The police said that there has been a string of similar thefts from vehicles, and they believe it's punks. We live in a town of 30,000, and it's unusual to see this. Have a great day everyone! Jen |
Jen,
Sorry to hear about the theft! That is horrible. That is how many people live in my town and you are right, you don't hear of that much. Hope everything works out o.k. I had a great childhood and I got a little spoiled. I like my comforts!!!!!! Myra- Hope you enjoyed yourself. I know my mom wants me to lose but then she feels like she has to feed me. I think Jewish moms and Italian ones are a lot alike. LOL Hope you are feeling better! Happy Monday to everyone. Terri |
Hi :)
Terri, The last time I went to WW was 9/15, that's 2 weeks ago. Here in LI, if you miss a meeting you have to pay for that missed mtg so if I go Friday that would be 3 coupons or $36!!!($12 a wk)I have to decide which way to go, either rejoin for $12 or just give them the 3 coupons. Myra, my Mom & Dad were the same way with food. The minute I would walk in the door they would ask if I was hungry & even if I said no they would still put food on the table for me. I sure miss them. Mom passed away in 1984 & Dad 1993. :( This is a new week so with a some exercise you can burn those extra calories :D Jen, I'm happy to hear you had great weather for Brandon's birthday. Sorry to hear about your husband's laptop & equipment. They're always breaking into cars in my neighborhood. We were told it's the young kids(teens). Dianne, I hope you're feeling better. I hope everyone else is doing well. I'll be back tomorrow ;) Essie [This message has been edited by livingfit426 (edited 10-02-2000).] |
Hi Everyone, hope you are all well and over the colds.Sure seems early to have colds.
Essie, WOW, YIIPPEEEEE a whole size smaller!!That is so wonderful.... Jen so sorry to hear about the theft, noting like kicking you when your down... Well keep up the good work gals, I just found out I will have WW Leaders Training later this month, now I need some way to overcome the terror of public speaking, AAARRRRHHHHHHHHH!!! Take care, Janie |
Janie, welcome back!!! We missed you. How long is the training? I am too shy to speak in front of people. I would like to work for WW someday but as a receptionist. How much do they pay, if you don't mind me asking? I would like to do it on a part time basis.
I have to get serious about WW. I have to start journaling. I always hear about people not journaling & I always thought "not me" I will always journal & for the past week or two I haven't been doing it. :( So here's to writing EVERYTHING down, drinking my water & reading Part 1, the book we get when we join. I have to start eating by the numbers. I'm going off balance when it comes to fruits & veggies. Have to start making healthier choices. Have a great day everyone ;) |
