I did it...went back to WW tonight. Here I go AGAIN!!! The leader was very good and really inspired me!!! I need to do this...I just hate the way I look. :s:

Meshell, you said you were having storms..where do you live? My daughter lives in Maryland and told me they had a terrible storm there just the other day. They make me anxious too!!!

Brenda, how do you do the wonderful attachments? Brenda..there is so much to catch up on!! Anyone special in your life?? How old are your kids now? I'm so glad you're near your family...I am sure they are a help. My kids have left the nest..Jill in Maryland and Andy in college at U. ME at orono. I miss them and I can honestly say the weight gain has been the stress from empty nest. I have had such a struggle with it. It is just starting to get better. (Jill moved to Maryland the same year that Andy went off to college and we moved to Turner and my hubby and I both started new jobs...wheewww!!)

Well everyone ...wish me luck. I can lose this weight!!!

Town Meeting Blues!!
 

Hi Everyone,

I just got back from my first town meeting. They just built a new highschool for 25 million dollars with an atrium and everything. Now we are considered a small town of 12,000 residents and now they want another 15 million for the highschool, can you believe it? I mean who needs an atrium in a highschool? And ofcourse all this to be paid for by raising taxes. The old highschool is fine and will now be the junior highschool. I was just flabbergasted by the ammount of money then want.

Candice, actually I missed the movie but wanted to see it. How was it? Hope your leg feels better.

Meshell, I am so happy for you, you have come so far. I hope your health will continue to improve.

Wow, we must have been posting at the same time, LOL!! Yes, I am dating a man named Steve for about 4 months now. We went to NYC a couple weeks ago and had fun. We went snowboarding many times this winter and had a blast, he is teaching me. He is a supervisor in the machine shop in my company, which is www.davidclark.com if you want to check it out. Big layoffs expected on Fri though, so I hope I still have a job next week. I have worked there since Sept 23, 2000. The people I work with are very nice. I started out as an accounting clerk then moved up to administrative assistant in the executive offices.

Brianna is 9 now, Kayleen will be 8 July 14th and Janessa is 18.5 and living in Va with her dad. Oh yeah she is about 5 months pregnant, can you picture me a grammy, LOL??

I have done well with ww and am down to 158 but presently on the gain. I got down to about 154, I just can't seem to get back on it.

to get a sig go to www.delphiforums.com and register, then find the creative forums and just ask for someone to do one for you, it is free and everyone there is very helpful. I can't remember who directed us there but I am thinking Candice.

Hi there girls! Wow, you've all been busy and Candice and Meshell.....I'm right there with you as for the Fibro pain. Hey! Let's just take it one day at a time and leave the rest up to the big guy upstairs. "God only knows" why we have this "thing" called Fibro but I also know that things could be much worse....although there are those days when I truly believe it couldn't possibley be any more painful! :(
I spent the entire day in the ER yesterday. Had an ingrown toenail that if anyone so much as BREATHED on it.....it hurt. I should never have let it go so long. I had an appt. with my podiatrist next week but just could not wait that long. I'm talking INFLAMED, SWOLLEN AND RED! I don't know how many of you have ever had "the shot" they give you in your toe to numb it up but let me tell you......."it's a DOOOOSY"!!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! I must have terrified everyone in the ER with my screaming. It's a 30 second (atleast!) long shot and THEN.....as he was cutting off the toenail....I could still feel it so he had to keep giving me more shots as he kept cutting down. (are any of you nautious yet???? Heh-heh):p I couldn't believe how SHARP the stupid thing was. The doctor put it in a test tube for me to save.....eeeewwwwwww, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? LOL.....anyway, I thought it was a pretty good idea since my daughter, Jackie...cuts her toenails too short and I wanted her to see what happens. So, here I am....with the keyboard on my lap and my feet up on the computer desk as usual........only my BIG TOE on my left foot it staring back at me.......<grin>

Candice - Thanks so much for the beautiful Pamela Jo Siggy. I went to the sight but haven't asked them yet for a signature. I have Photo shop and think I might try doing something on there. I LOOOVE what you did though, thanks a bunch.

Brenda - Hey Granny!!!!!! Heh-heh:D Is she finally taking care of herself? and is she under a doctors supervision? I sure hope so. I know it's hard for you to deal with her but I also know (as I'm sure you must as well) that she's going to be knocking on your door/calling you on the phone...night and day. She's going to need your help and who else but Mom to do it. Who knows, maybe this will make her more responsible and hopefully bring the two of you a little bit close. It's amazing what a baby can do to people. Let's hope this child is a "good thing" for your daughter. No matter how you look at it, this baby is a blessing and I hope she realizes it when she finally gives birth. Remember when you look at your baby for the first time....right after they're born? It's the most amazing feeling.....as though they've been right there with you forever and yet......they're brand new! I really wish you ALL much happiness and nothing but wonderful moments with this baby. Aaaaaand, you KNOW I'm going to crucify you with the "Granny" jokes. :lol:

O.K. guys, I've got to get some sleep.....or atleast take a shower and climb under the covers for some "rest". We've been in the 90's the past couple of days and I've been doing my "stable work" at night or early morning. Oh yes......by the way! I'm the snake slayer again. Found a CORAL SNAKE in my pool today. The good news is ....it's was only a baby. The BAD news is that......this means MAMA is somewhere with alot of other little ones nearby! Time to get the mothballs out and spread them all around the base of the house outside. That seems to be the ONLY thing that keeps them away. We'll see. Ewwwww, spiders and snakes.....I don't like 'em!

PJ, how am I supposed to sleep after reading that post? LOL! It is 2am here, and I am suffering my usual fibro-induced insomnia. I knew I should have taken my sleep meds! How will I ever get to sleep with thoughts of needles and snakes running through my mind?

Our dog had 5 gorgeous puppies yesterday. We had planned to keep one puppy and give away the rest. Well, after my husband saw the puppies, he decided we are keeping ALL of them! We already had 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a bird!!!! All I can say is that he had better put up a really big fence really quickly if he wants all those dogs around here! (But they are REALLY cute. They were born under my bed and I have to keep going in there to get them out of corners, etc. that the mommy can't reach before the cries wake up my husband, who has to get up for work in an hour.)

Gale, I live in SC. We have been having thunderstorms and even a tornado or two.

Hi gals,

Well we were scheduled to have our first softball game this morning at 10am. The other team didn' t show up and we found out there was a scheduling screw up so we just practiced and we really had a blast. Our team are 8 & 9 year olds, with one 7yo(Kayleen) I am assistant coach and think it will be fun. Then I dropped the girls off at my sister's house for my niece's b-day party and went to Sears to buy some new suits. My old ones are just hanging on me and make me look sloppy. My old ones were size 12 and the new ones are size 8, Yippee! I got a real cute pair of shoes too.

Well, I survived the lay-off Friday and still have a job. I am very lucky because I handle all the trade shows for our product managers and I am the only one who does it so my job is fairly safe. I have only been there 19 months and friday they laid off 20 people, one who was there for 53 years, and they hit upper management too, big surprise. So anyway, I feel lucky for now but I don't believe our company is gonna make it. Sept 11th killed us because we deal with government and fire dept's, communications but mostly aviation and things just arn't doing well in the category.

Meshell, wow you are so lucky, puppies are so adorable. I wish I could come over there and just cuddle them up. Hope you got some sleep last night.

PJ, so good to hear from you. No Janessa is really not doing well and it is really stressing me out. No doctor yet and she went to oklahoma city with her boyfriend to meet his family and her and his mother had a war. we got a call 2 nights ago, in the middle of the night. Jeff's mother smashed J's face into the car door and may have broken her nose. The police came and helped her, they wanted her to stay and press charges but she just wanted to go back to Virginia (good move) They police paid to get her bus ticket changed over and put her right on the bus to Virginia, thank god they helped her. so basically she got on the bus covered in blood and didn't go back to the house for her things. So no money, no clothes to change into etc.... We wired her $50 and we know she picked it up enroute so atleast she can eat. So anyway, just another chapter in the saga. I am worried sick and hope she is allright. I called the police in oklahoma and thanked them for helping her and tried to press assault charges on the lady but they said I couldn't because I wasn't there and J was over 18. Yes I do know the feeling when you first look at your baby, it is out of this world. Unfortunately, I may never be a part on this one's life. J is talking about adoption and unfortunately I feel it might be a good move. There is just no way she can take care of a child. I am not sure how I feel about adoption but it is not my choice. All I can do is be there for her. My mom is adopted and had a very wonderful experience so atleast J has someone who knows a bit about it.

The shoe store is giving me problems..I knew they would..My son is going to pick them up Monday to see if what they did to the sole made a difference. They do not make the style anymore so antoher pair cannot be ordered and they will only give me credit in the store no money back and right now there is nothing there I can where. If they had told me in the biginning I could not get a refund I would have never bought them! :mad: I was to unsure of them and he talked me into buying them(the salesman).

Worked in the yard today.........still alot of hip and leg pain...but so much to do outside now!

When you said "mostly aviation and things just arn't doing well in the category"......I just wanted to let you know that I don't think you have anything to worry about. Bill has been with Northrop/Grumman for 28 years and besides the stocks going up, up, up......they just got another contract. The government IS going to fund many more $$$$$ for aviation companies so you should be O.K. Bill is the first to find out these things and I can keep you as current as possible. He even finds out before the N.Y. Stock Exchange does. <Grin> .....so I should be pretty accurate. Let's hope so.:D

Yesterday, I fell asleep on the raft in the pool.:( I was so hot after working in the barn that when I walked back to the house....I just jumped into the pool.....then I took my shirt off and since it was a sports bra....I figured I could hang out in my shorts and that......so I did. Heh-heh.......Debbie drove by and said she didn't want to disturb me........she said I was so sprawled out on the thing and by my position....she could tell I was out like a light. AAAhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! Let's just say.....I got burned. :mad: I never lie out in the sun without protection and my shades. :cool:
Now I'm even more wrinkled than before.....Phooey!!!!!!!!! Today we've got a nice breeze so BRING ON THE SUN!!!!!!!! I have FINALLY started to stick with the program again. I wasn't tracking for a little while and I think I speak for all of us when I say IT REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE. So today is another day and I'm going to be OP and do my exercise. Kind of hard not to around here. If you don't walk it off......you sweat it off. EEEEwwwwwwwww.

I weighed in tonight...lost 2.6. I was happy with that. I had an excellent week..drank my water, journaled....did everything right. I need start my excercise program now.

Brenda, you have your hands full!!! I am so happy that your job is safe for now. I wish I had an answer for you with your daughter. Sounds like she is wise ..adoption is a good thing. they provide open adoptions now ..if that is something she is interested in. There must be an organization that can help her through her pregnancy and delivery!!! I don't know of any but maybe someone does?? Keep smiling Brenda...everything will work out fine. You are in my prayers!!

Sorry it has been a bit since I posted. I will inform you of Janessa's latest saga. Now keep in mind that she is somewhere betwwen 5 & 6 months pregneant but I can't get her to go to the doctor. Okay, here we go, 3 nights ago we got a call from the jail in virginia beach, she was arrested for grand larceny and she is now an adult, she will be 19 in Sept. she tried to steal a couple business suite, what for I don't know!!!! The value was 202.00, grand larceny is 200.00 and above. Now it gets worse, she is still on probation for a grand larceny charge when she was a juvenile, that time her and a couple friends stole a video camera out of someone's car. So she broke probation too. Now, I gotta tell you that I didn't not bring her up this way at all. I don't steal and Bree and Kayleen never have stolen anything in their life. She is in with a real bad crowd down in Virginia. So she could be and probably will be in jail when she gives birth. She has asked me to take temporary custody of the baby if she is in jail. No believe me the last thing in the world that I want is to have a baby 24-7. I am telling you, I am ready to give up. I told her, let's see what happens in court on June 20 first. Then I would have to think about it alot. I don't think I could turn my back on her but my gosh, a baby???? I'm gonna try not to think about it until we know what the sentence will be. In the meantime she has promised me to go to a doctor, yeah right!!!

Sorry for the downer, but thanks a bunch for letting me vent, I really needed it.

Gale, hello there again. congratulations on your loss, that is a real good one, you must have worked very hard. Yes a size 8 feels pretty cool but I still have a ways to go. As you can see my life is turned upside down right now and I am an emotional eater so I have to be very careful or I will be in big trouble.
