What are everyone's plans for the 4th?

Not much happening this way. I will be at my parent's house and they never really have a big party or anything. It's usually just us with some ribs and all the fixins. I still look forward to it though because it's time spent with the family.

Well Dori, I think I'll be spending the 4th at the hospital. My hubby got sick again last night (vomiting blood). I called the rescue, and they took him to a local hospital. He was then transferred to a larger hospital about an hour away where his liver specialists are. He is in ICU. They called this morning at 6:30 to say he had been doing well up until about 15 minutes before and he started vomiting again. The doctor was with him when it happened. Tim is getting out of the shower now, and we are headed for Dayton. Long day ahead of us I'm sure.

what is dori short for? i have a friend that we call dori, and so far, she is the only one i have met.

4th plans--we used to go see the fireworks. But, it's just so hot here that now we watch them on TV.
This year, we're going across town and spend the night in a hotel.

Larry went to the neurologist this morning. He said that the instant black-out wouldn't happen again (I hope). It had some big name that I can't remember. Just to be on the safe side, Larry will have a CT scan of his head.

Tina, finally feeling better. I called the dr on Tuesday and she called me in something. I knew it wasn't going to go away on its own. Glad Larry is better. I know you will be happy after the CT scan.

Jeanne, any big plans for the 4th?

We are going to cook out and watch the surrounding fireworks. Nothing too exciting.

Well my full name is Doretha, but I've always been called Dori. Now that I've gotten older I have tried to revert back to being called Doretha, but 28 years of being called Dori make it a bit hard.

Thanks for all of the prayers ladies! I don't really know anything new. He is still in ICU. He is joking around with the nurses, so I think that is a good sign. Now if they could just figure out what is causing the nausea and blood.

Tina, I love to just get away like that. Going to my niece's wedding last week and staying all weekend was so nice even though I was alone. I am glad that Larry is having the scan of his head. Let us know how things are going with him.

hello ladies-I've been here just been really tired - haven't been doing too much weight wise- but I guess we just have to plod along-Tammy, Tina-I'll be saying a prayer for both of your husbands-I'm sure all will turn out okay-Susan-hope you're feeling better too-it's been busy at work and I've been working a few nights at my part time job(not so many hours there anymore)but I need all the extra money right now-would you believe at my age I'm thinking of buying a small house from my boss-he's redoing the whole thing-I'll keep you posted-we had a holiday on tuesday(july 1st Canada Day)-I hope you all have a great 4th of July-enjoy-talk to you all later

She said he went downhill yesterday.
