New To This Board

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm new to this board and wanted to introduce myself. I am 61 years old - turning 62 in May and planning to start drawing my Soc Sec checks!!!! :smug:

I'm 5'3" - used to be 5'4". Don't know what happened to the other inch. I'm trying to lose pounds, not inches! I haven't been back to WW in quite a few weeks, but I weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 215 lbs. I'd love to get down to 150. I'm going on a trip with my three younger, tiny sisters they each weigh around 110 lbs) the end of Sept - we try to get together once a year since we're scattered across the country. I'm using that date as my first major goal - aiming to lose about 30 lbs by then.

I'm married - 37 years to a wonderful, loving, supportive man. We have two grown sons - no grandchildren. But I do have two surrogate granddaughters - 23 month old twins who live next door. I adore those little angels. And thankfully their mom is very generous in letting me spend time w/them.

That's about it for now. Looking forward to the help and support this board has to offer.

Happy Lark

Hi HappyLark. I'm new at this also. I'm looking forward to my 52nd birthday in July. Married with son/daughter, and 4 acquired with marriage (3d & 1s - 1s drowned 1998) 5'7, 179 lbs. I have been going to WW since 10/01 and have lost a grand total of 37 lbs. 24 more to go. Tried to get my doc to say that I shouldn't lose that much, but he agreed with WW:mad: Got 4 grands, 2b, 2g. Will be retiring from this daily grind Sept. 5, 2003.

Good Morning~

I just found this site and thought I would join in!

I will be 54 in May, and have 3 grown children, 4 granddaughters and 1 husband of almost 36 years!

I became a lifetime WW member in 1976, and have been on the weight gain/loss rollercoster since then. I last met my goal weight about 7 years ago, and kept all by 10-15 pounds off since then. So I am now working to get back to 145 hopefully by June, so I can fit into my summer clothes.

Spring has finally arrived here, at least for this week~ I recently bought a pedometer and will be walking outside :), which is my favorite place to be. When the weather is not so nice I walk to Leslie Sansone tapes, and go to Curves a couple of times a week. As you can see, activity is a big part of my getting back to goal.

Liz
