Hi Michelle and anything goes......................just chirp right in!
|
Hello and Happy Monday to everyone!
Candice: I'm not exactly sure what the calorie count is for 18 points, because it all depends on what kinds of foods you eat but the average, I think is about 1200 cal., or close to it. As for how much protein, that is also different for everyone. In the WW week 6 booklet, it has a section on what we need to eat for the right mix. If someone weighs more than 225 pounds and are eating a good balance may only need 8 - 10 points, someone who needs more could be 10-14 and someone who needs more carbos needs only 5-7 points. Now this may seem high but the member needs to fit this in with their points range. Bren: I'm on our local ambulance rescue squad. We are just a small village but we do have to trucks:) We don't use head sets, haven't even seen any of those in my area:) Hey, don't be thinking negatively about your new relationship, one can never tell if it will work or not. Think positive! Hi Michelle: I'm a WW leader and I would be happy to help you out anyway I can. I will try and answer your questions for you. Everyone, have a terrific day. Julie;) |
Hi Michelle and welcome to the nest. It is great to see you here. Thanks for the info on the point range. We talk about anything that comes up actually. Things have been kind of slow lately but things should get hopping soon. I have for one been missing in action for quite awhile, maybe we can get some of the others back. Anyway tell us a little about yourself, I am looking forward to getting to know you.
Calling all the missing owls, time to come out and play. The nest needs some action. Where are you all?? |
Hello there:
Just reading the posts to see how everyone is keeping. PJ: Do you realize that it was 2 years ago to right this week that we visited you in Florida? Wish we were going somewhere sunny right now. It's been very cold up here lately and getting a fair bit of snow. Long for the sunny south. Yes, yes, yes...............do write me a letter soon and tell me what everyone is up to. Have a good day everyone. Sue |
Hey y'all
Thanks for welcoming me to the group....Well it's day four on this WW ride and I haven't cheated a bit. I'm really liking this whole journaling thing, and finding it a fun challenge to ration points and find low point "fill-me-up's".....I get to go and weigh in on Thursday again, and can't wait. I put my own scale into storage so I'm not tempted to weigh myself everyday like in the past, I want to be surprised on Thurs. And I figure since I'm banking points everyday, I should see some results. I've totally fallen in love with Skinny cows, I think they're the best invention since the remote control...he he. Any other 2 pt and other snacks that you'd have let me know....I'd love to have more options....I'll keep y'all posted.
Later, Michelle |
Julie..I know about the right mix page but I wanted to know the grams of protien we need????????????? What kind of reduced calorie margerine do you recommend for the WW baking recipes???? (waht do you find works best)
Bren.......snowboarding sounds like fun can you fly like the kids in the olympics!;) Hi Suebee..who are your cutie pies?????????? Michelle..soudns like you are doing great..hope the Weigh in is kind to you! Don't get bent out of shape if it is not..those things happen! Any new tips you learn along the way please share with us! I love the skinny cows to and Dh does too! I have to hide them from him! Do you know about the Whipped Peanut butter for 3 pts for 2 TBS????? (Peter Pan makes it) :) I have been taking benedryl for my drainage(giving me a sore throat) and it make me so tired and I don't need that! I spent today trying on old clothes agoain..I have to just picth some of these they just don't look good on me anymore..getting old is the pits! Everything droops! :o  |
Good morning.
Sue: Those children are sure cuties, I take it they are yours:) how old are they? Michelle: Oh boy, I have to agree with you, those skinny cows are the best, I do prefer the chocolate ones myself. Did you know that you can take a package of the vanilla smoothie, make it with skim milk then break up a vanilla skinny cow and whip that in it too. OHHH what a treat! I'm also happy to hear that you dumped your daily scale habits. Some members do ok with checking their weight everyday but others don't. Candice: Sorry my friend, I really don't know the amount of protein grams we are supposed to take in daily, I just know the point range for our daily intake. I will check my manuel to see if it says anthing about that. As for reduced cal. margarine for baking, I really don't have much luck with that. I use the regular Blue Bonnet margarine. Many of those light ones have to much water in them and don't work well with baking. Have a wonderful day everyone. Julie Thought: FEEL PRIDE IN HOW FAR YOU'VE COME AND CONFIDENCE IN WHERE YOU ARE GOING. |
The going is still good
Good Morning everyone,
We have the flu going around in our neighborhood....our best friends and their kids have all had it, and my hubby spent his holiday off from work in the bathroom....I'm hoping I don't get it, so far so good. I watched that Janet Jackson concert on HBO last night, and man I want her abs....she's in her forties, and I'm 26....I think I can, I think I can....lol Well for now I'd just like to be under 200 lbs, that's a little more realistic. Good music to get up and dance to though. Well I suppose I should get the morning chores done......two more days til I weigh in....can't wait. Later, Michelle |
Julie..when a WW recipe calls for reduced calorie margerine do you just use regular and does it riase the points????? I prefer butter to margerine if I'm gonna bake the normal way..but these recipes call for the reduced calorie stuff..I have never used it!
Michelle..all that dancing she does she can probably eat anyhthing! Brittney too! Raining here and another cold front going through..hope I can go for a massage today, haven't been in along time! So far to drive when ya don't feel well! Eating well......so far!;) |
Hello everyone and happy Hump Day (the middle of the week:)
Candice: If I remember right, I did buy a blue bonnet lite margarine once for a recipe that called for it, I just don't like the way things tasted when I used it and I think that it just has to much water in it. So the answer to your question is yes, I usually just use regular margarine and the recipe does come out ok. I just make sure I add the points. The weather here in N.E. Wisconsin has been veryb mild, up near 40 degrees. Last night we got a downpour and now they say that snow is on the way. Oh well, the snow at this time of year won't last long. I'm really happy that I was able to get another At Work WW meeting started yesterday, that makes 8 meetings I work in a week. I love my job:) Hope you all have a terrific day. Watch those portions...and for the meeting topic this week.............don't eat to feed an emotion, eat only to fuel your body. Julie |
Hey y'all
Hi everyone....
I had pizza last night, and was convinced that I was cheating....figured my points, and I was right on...though it was the first day this week I didn't get to bank any points, but I was stuffed and didn't eat another bite all night. I weigh in tomorrow night at 5:30 pm and can't wait....I'm so excited. Haven't been doing so good on my water, so I need to down some more of that today. I find it's easier to drink my water room temp or right out of the faucet...than ice cold...but they say ice cold burn 40 calories a glass because your body has to warm it up....so I'm torn...lol. I'm looking for a low point cheesecake recipe if anyone has one...I'm always craving cheesecake and brownies. Let me know. It's dreary and drizzly in Iowa this week...had some flurried this morning, nothing to measure...I'm looking forward to some sun, and getting outside and walking. Michelle |
We really did get a lot of snow yesterday. Not enough to call off school today I'm sure. Our kids did get out early yesterday because the roads were getting slippery.
Michelle: You will have to let us know how your weigh-in went. About those recipes for cheese cake or brownies....I know I have some but I will have to look for them. When I find them, I will post. How is everyone else doing? Getting enough exercise, water (which I have to have ice cold or it just won't go down). Next weeks topic will be about exercise......guess I will have to come up with something different to do, you can only talk about exercise for so long before people get board. Take care. WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN , OR WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN'T, YOU'RE RIGHT! (Henry Ford) Julie |

Happy Friday to everyone!
Good news, I can finally do some scanning of pictures! Now I will look for a picture and try and post it here. Wish me luck. Hope you all had a great week. Julie |
Yahooooooooo!!!!!!
Had my first weigh in last night, and I lost five pounds in my first week exactly. My friend lost 5.4...so we both got our bookmarks....yeah!!! So it's onward with my second week....and today all of my banked points are gone too. So we'll see how this week goes. I'm really excited though....can't wait to weigh in next week now...
