Default I think Mondays should be outlawed...

I'm just starting Monday's thread. I'll post a longer message in a second (just want to make sure that nobody else is starting the thread for today).

Default OK, here's the longer post I promised

Good morning everyone! I'm in pretty good spirits today (considering that it's a Monday). My three-day weekend was pretty good. I feel a little bit guilty because I didn't feel like going to the gym after working my long days last week, but I could have gone Friday and Saturday and didn't. My poor kid sister was sick as a dog on Friday and I got elected to take her to the doctor (which was a chore because she really didn't want to go). She has an upper respiratory influenza (makes you wonder what she got a flu shot for). I'm feeling a little congested and achey, I hope I'm not coming down with it. I spent the evenings with my wonderful, sweet, perfect (OK, maybe that's stretching it a little bit) boyfriend for pretty much all of the weekend. His name is Aaron, by the way. That was wonderful. I just wish he would have been around yesterday when I had to do combat with an enormous spider that somehow found its way inside. I got it outside and had spent so much time getting myself worked up over it that I started bawling afterward and had to take a nap. A sort of ego boost happened over the weekend--Aaron and I went to the bar together on Friday. He was off playing pool and I was sitting at the bar drinking a Diet Pepsi when suddenly this guy came and sat down next to me and spent the next half hour trying to get me to go home with him. This would have been a huge ego boost if he hadn't been a dirty old man and staring at my breasts through pretty much the entire conversation...

OK, on Thursday I wrote that my goal was to stay in my points range all day. I did it! And I managed to do it all weekend, too. I thought for sure the weekend would be a challenge, but I surprised myself and even managed to bank some points (only three, but hey, it's a start, right?) Now, if I can just get back to the gym... I packed my bag and will probably go right after work (if I'm not too hungry, which happens sometimes. If I'm too hungry I just go home and eat, wait an hour and go).

Also, on Thursday, I asked if anyone had an creative ideas for things to do with English Muffins. I got a little creative last night and made them into cheese bread to go with my FF ravioli. It was very good.

Well, I suppose it's time for me to get a little work done. Talk to you guys soon!!

Good morning Jess and everyone else!!

Jess ~

Your english muffin sounds great. It is good to be creative, I think getting into a rut with food happens all to often! Your weekend sounds terrific. Having a good guy means so much. Sometimes they are hard to come by! I am also getting sick. My kids have the upper respitory infection too, plus my DD (3 yrs old) has asthma, so those infections are even harder on him. He must of sneezed on me one too many times, cause I have a runny nose today!!

I had a good weekend, but not a very OP one. I am brushing it off though, and starting again today. I have WI on Thursday morning, hoping for a loss. I have been walking our puppy every morning at 5:30, so my exercise regime had been increased.

Well, better get some work done, came in early this morning so that I can leave today at 2:45, must releave my DH of his child watching responsibilities so that he can go to the dentist!!

Check back in a while!

Morning girls. Well the b-sitting is going well. I got them up ready for school this morning, went to the chiropractor and got to work by 8:45. I FEEL LIKE SUPERWOMAN! I am so impressed by those of you who do this regularly. I don't know if I mentioned the fact taht the people I am b-sitting for have 5 children. Anyways, despite that it has gone quite well. My sister kept an eye one them the past 2 nights b/c I have been with b/f. He injured himself on Sat. at his B-ball game. He cant move his knee. It is pitiful. I am babying him and let me tell you he is loving it. Guys are pretty funny when they aren't feeling well. He is going to see the specialist this wk so we can find out exactly what the problem is. I spent my Sat night in the emergency room with him. BIG FUN! Oh well. I need to work at some point today so I should go. Have good days ladies. OOOOOOOh big news I almost forgot. I am going to Hawaii Not until July but it is definitely something to work toward. I am so excited. I will be going for 2 wks with a couple of my friends. Life is gooooood!

Morning Jess and Tonya!

Becky

Talking Happy Monday!

Good morning girls!!

Jess - Great job staying within your points all weekend! I know I have told you this before, but it is so refreshing to have someone that is so motivated and gung-ho around! You have really helped to improve my attitude lately! As for the gym and working out, let me tell you what I have done so far this year to keep myself going. I won't go more than 2 days without working out. That way, I go at least 3 times a week, but I am still flexible when other things come up. It allows me to be lazy when I feel like it, but also to plan ahead and know that if I am busy the next 2 nights and can't work out, then I had better do so today! So far, I have done great doing it this way.

Tonya - How is your puppy?? I know it is a lot of work, but it is so worth it in the long run! I am really looking forward to getting a dog when I move into my new place. Since I live alone, I think it is a great companion. Plus, a good motivator to walk more!!

My weekend was nice. The weather here was absolutely beautiful. It hit 60 yesterday, which is more than 30 degrees above normal. I took advantage of it by jogging along the lake instead of on my treadmill. It was so nice and because of the weather, I am in a great mood. But we are supposed to have significant snowfall on Wed/Thurs so the nice weather is leaving. (I guess it is only January though!)

I'll be back later!

Default Good Morning

I'm still at home. I got up this morning at 5:30 to get in the shower and there was NO water!! It just came back on so I guess I'd better get motivated.
I just wanted to pop in and say hi!!
Hopefully I'll find some time to post when I get to work, but I can't promise anything.
Bye for now!!!

Default Postings from the winter wonderland

Hi folks! I've just been catching up with everyone. Sounds like there is a lot of motivation going around I love it! I went to WI on Sat and stayed exactly the same even with TOM visiting - so I'm thrilled! I spent the weekend getting up early to drive BF to work so I could have the van to move my stuff, then moving my stuff. The good thing was, I loaded it mostly by myself but he was there to help unload. And it snowed ALL weekend. We got something like 20 centimetres (around a foot)The previous record for this time of year is something like 2 cm!! Last night we couldn't park the van until we had shoveled a spot on the side of the road and this morning, I could open the doors of my car, I had to take the bus and I was late (no big deal cause everyone else had weird car problems too) Any tips from those of you who are used to living in cooler climates? Today it's beautiful and sunny out a true winter wonderland.

Tonight I'm back at my apartment so I can park underground. And then by thursday it'll be official - living with the BF!! And about time too. I still have some books, all my bedding, my computer, my bathroom stuff, some clothes and some food at my apartment. It sounds like an awful lot when I actually write it down. I'm hoping I don't need the truck again. I don't want to wake up that early if it's going to be this cold. BF is working 7 days a week into march. THe money is fantastic but the hours are killing him.
Anyway, I hope you are all fantastic and having a great day. I'll pop in later this week to say hi.

KT

Hi everyone! Quiet in here today. I had an alright day today. I had an up & down week last week with PMS & still I managed to stay at the same weight & not gain. Thanks goodness. I was worried there. I am definitely back on track today. I feel really motivated. I counted and there are under 22 weeks to our wedding. Seems too close for comfort. By now I was supposed to weigh a lot less than this & I was supposed to have a lot more money saved. I was feeling very panicky yesterday but sat down & figured out a solution so today I'm feeling much calmer & more motivated. My friend phoned & asked me today if I would join WW with her b/c she doesn't want to go alone. It sounds good to me. I've been doing it at home without a whole lot of success so maybe this will be the kickstart I need. We're going to start next Monday. I am a little worried about the cost b/c I want to save as much money as possible for the wedding but in the end it would be worth it right?? I have to talk it over with DF but I think he'll say to do whatever I think will make me happiest. Anyway enough about that. I had an alright weekend even though it was around -45C the whole time with the windchill. DF took the car to work yesterday & didn't plug it in & after his shift it wouldn't start! Our friedn tried boosting it but it wouldn't go. Finally he called a tow truck & the guy finally got it going. Took DF 2 hours to get home from work by the time the car was going! I'm so jealous of all of you who are in warm places! Right now I can even go for walks b/c the cold air hurts the lungs so much! Only 3 more months til spring....

KT, congrats on moving in with bf. Its lots of fun

Jess, wtg on acheiving your shrot term goal Feels good doesn't it?

JenK, send me some of your weather!

Tonya, have fun playing nurse. Hope everyone feels better quick Good job on the dog walking. 5:30 is awfully early!

Becky, sounds like you had an adventurous weekend. Hope bf's knee is ok. Hawaii! Wow! Take me in your suitcase??

Stacey, you're a 5:30 person like Tonya? That's impressive. I have a hard enough time rolling out of bed at 7:30! Hope you got some hot water!

Hi to everyone else! Hope you're all doing great

-Rina
