Evening,

Tammy, I'm sorry you feel bad. Instead of age, maybe it's the weather/time of year. Yes, it sounds like Tim needs to see a doc. That could go into bronchitis and that would be awful.

Good luck tomorrow with the guy watching your every move. :)

Hi Guys,

Tammy, hope you feel better!! I sometimes I cramp the middle of the month too. I have all of the same symptoms as TOM, even the weight gain. Once a migraine starts coming on, I take Imitrex but it didn't put a dent in this migraine. Glad I don't get them a bunch! I still get nervous about my observations too. Don't think that will ever change.

Tina, how is life going? I heard about the cereal doctor too. Not sure about it. I love cereal but don't want to have it 2 times a day.

I lost -.75 yesterday. Only to not do too good today. I have to be very careful!!

Don't know too much! Just wanted to say hi to all my friends!

Susan

Evening all,

Tammy, are you feeling better? I hope the observation goes well.

Susan, I've been staying OP for a couple of days now. We'll see what happens on Thursday. Congratulations on your loss. I'd be happy to take that amount.

Sometimes I wish I still had TOM and PMS. Am I crazy or what! :) I had a hysterectomy 9 years ago. Boy, I usually don't tell that much about myself.:dizzy:

Everyone have a good day tomorrow.

Brrrrr it's cold here!! We are having an ice storm, and expecting snow. School is closed for Wed...too bad work isnt closed! Although I'm not sure I will be going, if the weather is still bad in the morning.

Hmm a cereal diet sounds good. I told my daughter we were gonna have cereal for dinner tonight, as I couldn't think of anything else to fix. Unfortunately we were out of cereal, so we had rice and chicken.

Susan congrats on your loss...every little bit adds up to big losses in the end.

Well I'm off to bed, have a great day and do your best to stay OP everyone!!
Dee

Hi,

Well, I blew it yesterday. I had a hotdog from 7-11 (the best hotdog!!) Did eat the right things.... needless to say when I weighed this morning (which I know is a NO NO :nono: I was up. I'll wait until Friday to see what really happens.

Dee, I forgot where you live? Ice storms are horrible. That's what we get here in good ole' Texas! Everything shuts down. Be careful if you get out to work. I like your idea of not going. Be safe and warm!!

Tina, what have you been sewing? I plan to do some sewing this summer. I think I'll start by making my neice some play outfits. That way, I don't have to measure myself!!

Guess I better go get ready for school. Sure would love to stay home today and play. Pat left early for a trip and will be home tonight... so I had animal duty. Had to get up to get the horses out. (that's his job in the morning, my job is putting them up at night.)

Let's have a GREAT Day!!!

Susan ;)

Hi everyone,

Good news, I am down 2 pounds.. and am under 170- that was my goal. I am motivated to see another good loss next week. I bought 3 new workout tapes-Kathy Smith Step Aerobics, heard this one was good and for the record, I highly recommend any step tape by Reebok with Gin Miller. I also bought Yoga for dummies and Pilates for dummies. I need some new stuff.

How's everyone else doing.

Sis, glad to hear your mom is doing better.

Susan and Tina, I don't sew but I do cross stitch and knit and a little crochet. What do you sew? Your own clothes? I'd love to learn how to do that but I have no style.

Dee - we're under a storm warning. Funny, this is Canada and our winter so far has been very very warm with little snow. Hope you can dig out from under.

Good luck tomorrow - I look forward to seeing your results!
Addey

Way to go Addey on your loss! You must feel great meeting your goal. Sounds like you're gonna be working up a sweat with all them work out tapes... You said you were under a storm warning...did you get much of a storm in Canada?

I'm in KS. We haven't had much bad weather considering its nearly Feb. It's still cold here, and I been home for 2 days, no school, and I didn't go to work due to the weather. I did however get my car thawed out (only took 2 hours) so I can go in tomorrow. Unless it rains and freezes again :dizzy: My kid loved the ice, I let her slide down our hill on a piece of cardboard...she loved it. Aren't kids silly!!

Have a great evening everyone, and a fantastic day tomorrow.
Dee

Tammy 01-31-2002 09:42 PM

OK guys, I really have been here attempting to read your posts and post back. I'm still not getting all of the posts all the time, and am not being allowed to post. My server or whatever is a pain. I'll blame it.

With all the cramping that I had the other day, I never did start. Weird. I thought for sure that I was ready for TOM part 2 for January.

Tim is still coughing during the day, but not at night. We're wondering now if the daytime cough cough be some kind of a nervous habit that he has gotten into. Usually when he has problems, he can't sleep at night and neither can we.

One of our 3rd grade teachers was taken to the hospital first thing this morning. She was coughing and having trouble breathing. Very scary. The rescue squad came before the students came to the rooms. We started school late. We kept the students in the gym while the squad was there and until the rest of us calmed down a bit.

I was up a pound at the doctor's office since I was there in december. The appt. in dec. was first thing in the morning, and yesterday I was there in the late afternoon. We'll blame the time of day on the pound. Didn't weigh at home.

Dee, I had to laugh about your daughter. A few years ago we had a big snowstorm. My hubby, son, and I took the round sled and walked down our road to a big ditch. We slid from the road down into the neighbor's field for a long time. It was great!

Addey, how is the Yoga for Dummies? I've had people recommend yoga, but I don't know much about it.

Susan, I'll have to try one of their hot dogs sometime. You've made me hungry!!

Tina, the observation by the principal was strange. The kids were great, but it wasn't one of the best lessons that I've ever taught. The funny thing was, it doesn't really bother me. I feel that I do a good job most of the time, so that one lesson isn't going to upset me.

I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday!!!!

Tina 01-31-2002 11:11 PM

Hi,
Addey, You are doing great. congratulations

Dee, my husband was just telling me that Reliant Energy (Houston Light & Power) was sending 40 trucks & 50 men up to Kansas to help get people's power back on. I'm so glad you and your daughter still have it! :) [My husband works for Reliant Energy.]

Tammy, I'd still watch Tim's coughing. I hope it doesn't get worse. And, I'm glad you made it through the week. :)

Sewing---yes, I'm going to make a jacket and skirt. Hopefully I'll fit into the skirt by the time I finish it.

Everyone have a good Friday.

Tina

icesmom 02-01-2002 12:04 PM

Hey gals! (and guys?)

Count me in on the "I'm glad it's Friday" train!

Yesterday was a tough one for me - no smoking, didn't bring my breakfast, had a small lunch (a girl at work here brought me in homemade Chinese dumpings-just pork, chicken, cabbage and the wrapper) but was starving in the afternoon so I counted approximately 5 points for jelly beans.. there's a jar outside my desk - totally bad! note to self: move jellybean jar. Was unable to contain the damage last night - had a HUGE serving of pasta.

Today I am attempting to contain the damage from yesterday and am planning on eating only 22 points. Fruit only for breakfast (about a cup's worth, 1 or 2 points)... more chinese dumplings for lunch (I can't insult this girl by not finishing them) and will go easy on dinner - to include a one hour work out tonight. I DID count up all my points yesterday and am back tracking today and this is NEW behaviour for me. Before I would have said - no counting, just move forward.

I'll let you all know about the new tapes I bought.

Thanks SO much for all your support and kind words. I am truly feeling motivated and you are all such a help in that!

Tammy - hope your computer troubles end soon!

Dee - we had snow but really, in light of the good winter we've had so far it's nothing but for some reason people forget this is CANADA and freaked out yesterday.. If this was a normal winter, people wouldn't have thought twice about the snow.

Susan - forgot to say congrats on the .75 gone!

That's all for now! Everyone have a GREAT weekend and I'll try to check in.

Cheers,
Addey

auntie 02-01-2002 08:13 PM

Howdy folks! :)

I weighed in today and I was down 3 pounds (hot dog and all). I have now made it over the 20 pound mark. I am now at 21.5 pounds!! Can ya'll hear me screaming for joy???? :D :D :D :D It is about time I made it over the hump!

I'm feeling ADD today! It has been one of those days. I read everyone's post and have ALREADY forgotten what I read. :o So So Sorry!!!!

Hope the weather is nice for everyone and has a great weekend.

Susan

Tina 02-02-2002 12:53 AM

Hi,
I believe everyone is ready for a weekend.
Susan, you really sound like you need to sleep it off. :) Congrats on that great loss!!!!

With my husband gone this weekend, I'm not sure what I'll do. I rented two movies for tonight. I ended up watching one on the Lifetime channel. It's late but I don't like to go to bed alone.
My cat would take that as an afront. He sleeps on my feet every night. In fact, he's in there now waiting for me.

Happy weekend everyone!

auntie 02-02-2002 01:46 PM

Tina, sorry you are home alone this weekend. If we lived close, we could have played last night. Pat was gone. He is going to be in your neck of the woods Tues night. I stay up so much later when he is gone.

Yesterday was one of those days. I crashed about 10:30 but woke up every hour or 2 until Pat got home. Hopefully, I make more sense today!!! :)

Have a great weekend.

Susan

icesmom 02-02-2002 02:30 PM

Well aren't we the losers this week! Congrats to Dee and Susan on your losses!

I just made Pat some banana bread (with butter, yum) and me some with margarine. I need to run the recipe to see how many points per serving but don't fee like it right now but be sure, I'll do it before I ate it.

Last night I tried the Kathy Smith step aerobic tape and it was good - I was sweating pretty hard. I'm still partial to the Reebok tapes but perhaps it's just what I'm used to. I'm going to try pilates for dummies in a bit and see how that is.

Is anyone else doing something for superbowl? Pat and I are going to a friend's place - they are serving Chili, portuguese (sp?) buns, cold cuts and cheese. My plan is to have a small brunch (up to 5 points) then have 1 cup of chili and half a bun for dinner. Also I'm taking a veggie tray (mostly so I can fill up on that and not pig out over dinner). This will leave me points to have a few beers. I have to work on Monday so that should keep me in line from having too many.... I hope... also, will work out hard for an hour tomorrow before we go so I may have a few activity points to use if I need them. Goal is to TRACK EVERYTHING! Wish me luck!

That's all for now, just wanted to check in with everyone! As always, I"m SO glad to be back, motivated and moving ahead... you guys are great!

Addey

Tina 02-02-2002 05:24 PM

Afternoon All,

I've kept very busy today. I didn't get to bed until 12:30 a.m. but I slept sound until 7:00 when my cat said it was time for breakfast.

Susan, where is Pat performing Tuesday? Yes, I wish we did live close. That would be fun.

Addey, you have a "Pat" too. :) We don't usually go to a Super Bowl party. Larry watches football some but isn't a big fan. However, I bought some onion soup mix and light sour cream to make dip. And, I got some baked chips. (I always keep picante sauce. All good Texans do that. ;) ) Also, I'm going to make a lemon pie. I bought some low fat condensed milk and fat free vanilla wafers. I'm not sure what the points are. I'll have to figure them up--just like your banana bread.

What is everyone else doing this Super Bowl weekend?

Tina
