TGI Friday!!!!!
Happy Friday Morning!!
I still have no idea whether I am working tonight, at least I am getting a work load I can handle more now, generally 15-19 hours a week, I was kind of going nuts before. I get next weekend off (I asked for it) and my parent's are ecstatic since that's the weekend of the G20 summit and I work in a mall VERY close to where the summit will be, so they are glad I am taking the weekend off and going to MTL. Anyhoo, I received a letter from Weight Watchers yesterday asking me to send in my story for the local area. I am also tempted to send in my story to the magazine also combined with my mom's story. Mother and Daughter both lose 100lbs is pretty cool story eh. BTW good yummy snack suggestion.... Teddy Grahams.... 9 or 10 for 1 point, 24 for 3 points.... I n\ibbled them while studying and I ended up eating them very slowly. Also pretzel sticks.... 25 or so for 1 point! Anyhoo, life is good asides from that though I am feeling a little nauseous this morning,.... I have been in general for the last few days, I think it's just this dumb cold I've been fighting:( Anyhoo, hope people come out and play today! Ali |
Ali - that sounds awesome. You'll have to keep us posted whether you get in the magazine or not. I'd buy that issue for sure!
All this talk about success and I went over by 5 points yesterday. However, I did go to the gym and earned 5 points, so really it should cancel out. Work is going to kick my butt today. I was here until 7:30 last night... and less than 12 hours later I was at work again. I'm just glad it's Friday. Lisa |

Ali ~ That is great that your work schedule has calmed down. It is tough balancing school and work. Studying requires so much time!! I think you and your mom are quite an inspiration. Definately send yours stories in!!! :) Lisa ~ Glad you got to the gym! The hard part is just getting there!! :) Keep up the good work! I big "Hi" to everyone out there!! I have been MIA the last week, but I am finally getting caught up with work, and it is Friday, and who wants to work on Friday!! I am biting the bullet and joining WW. I have been following the program at home with my mom's WW books for the last 2 years, and done quite well (losing 35 pounds) but now have gained 15 pounds back and just can't find my motivation. So, my mom, SIL and I are joining on Wed. night. Hopefully they will let me, since I am still within my normal weight range (not considered overweight) I don't know. But, the weight I want to get to is 135 and is still within my weight range, so I hope they don't turn me away!!! I am going to do a little x-mas shopping this weekend, trying to finish by Thanksgiving so I don't have to deal with x-mas shoppers and crowded stores. Hopefully I can get a lot of it done this weekend. We have to take my son (he just turned 3) to the pediatric gastrointestinal (sp?) doctor on Tuesday in Madison. We have been finding quite a bit of blood in his stools lately, not sure what is going on, but he needs to have a scope test done, and he has to be put under. I am a little worried, but will wait to see what is going on and deal with it then. (Sorry if this was too much information!!) Anyway, I have written a book, better get some work done! Well today is day 5 OP. I don't remember the last time I followed something for this many days. I even had a candle party to attend and actually ate the 0 point veggies off the tray and 3 wheat crackers. I was amazed! Ali, I've looked at your stats.WOW!!!! I really think you should submit your story. You've done just awesome and just think how much your story could help others. What are you taking in school? I noticed you mentioned some 1 point snacks. Thanks. Do you have any others? I find that's where I'm having a bit of a time. Finding something that fills me up a bit but doesn't use up too many points. Any suggestions welcome. I've been eating lots of veggies and the occassional apple but I like crunchy salty stuff. I'm not a big pretzel fan but maybe I better start appreciating them. :) Tonya, good luck at your meeting. It's good of you to know your limits. I know that's why I joined. I tried to do it myself but need the support and the structure. I hope everything turns out well with your little one. It's always scary when they're that small. I'll say a prayer. Lisa, awesome job on the gym thing. Good for you. I really need to work on the exercise part of it. What'd you do to earn 5 points back? I haven't got that far in the program yet.... Well I better get back to work. A fun and exciting day in the world of book keepings. Whoo hoo! My weigh in is tomorrow so hopefully it will show a loss. Wow, it's quiet here today....
Eek, my tummy is still out of sorts... Oh well... I am weighing-in today.... Hopefully my weight will be okay. Sammy: I am doing a Law Clerk course, so I am fairly busy (it's a lot of work, but I love it... I'll eventually do Law School). I am not needed at work tonight so I get to see Rémi (my bf) yah! Hmmm.... you can also get those mini-rice cakes, those are fairly tasty and baked tostitos are like 10 for 2 points or so (and they're big) with Salsa. Stacey: I talked to my mom and we think we'll do it, though I may weight until she reaches goal, but she's only about 20lbs away now!! She's awesome, she's almost the same weight she was when she met my dad!! Tonya: Yeah work and school seems to be my main priorities right now, I hardly see my friends/boyfriend/family anymore:( Though in less than 18 months I'll be finished school and working my career:) Tilley: I am finiding it so hard to fit in exercise, though I'll start to make an effort... Luckily I am VERY active in my daily life, I work retail and I walk everywhere... that should count for something. Anyhoo, I'll see you all later! Ali |
Whoohoo! It's Friday!
Well was went ok I guess... stayed the same. But I'll take it as I went way overboard last Friday for my birthday and its TOM. There are only 5 or 6 sessions left at out At Work Program and since there is the possiblity of it not continuing, I really want to get to my WW goal with this group. I have at least 5 weeks (maybe 6) to lose 5 pounds. I am focused on that goal! Went to Costco and got more Christmas cards as I was looking at my stock and noticed that I was very low! So that is on my agenda to do tonight. The weekend is looking fairly calm... just the usual: grocery shopping and cleaning. I am also hoping to get started on some home made ornaments (the cinnamon and the clear balls filled with either popcorn or pinecones). How exciting! The next 3 weekends will be busy so I will take advantage of this quiet one. :) Ali... congrats on the story! It is quite an accomplishment that the twp of you did! :D Have a great OP weeekend all! :cool: |
