I finally just got back and saw where my message was not posted. Now I can't remember what I wrote. I am going back to bed. It's 5 am!!!!

Freddie....78 really..wow! ;) My mom is 79 and has alhziemers...you sound like you are very mentally alert! Ya have a great since of humor too!:lol: Hope you get your puter stuff fixed! It can be a real pain I know!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry your mother has Alzheimers. My younger sister (5 years younger) says she thinks she is getting it. I lose my car and house keys and my eyeglasses (can't remember where I put them) but I did the same thing 30 years ago. So far, I have always found them. Well not my eye glasses that must have flown off me in my auto accident. No one ever found them, so I had to have a new pair made. I thought I could drive better than I could walk so I went to take my driver's exam as requested by DMV as soon as I bought a used replacement for my car that was totaled. I guess I was considered the fault of the accident! My insurance company paid for the damage of the other car but of course since I had just canceled my comprehensive insurance they were happy not to have to pay for my totaled car.

The woman I got to give me the exam had an ATTITUDE. I was in an unfamiliar part of town. Then she said to make a left turn (as I had been doing for about 5 or 10 minutes - well right and left turns). Anyway,I thought she meant at the next corner. She who had been speaking very softly yelled "HERE" and I look over and saw where I had passed the DMV building, which was in the middle of the block. I knew no one was behind me and stopped and asked whether she wanted me to back up. She said "No, go into the next driveway". So I parked in the next driveway (the ABC liquor store parking lot which was really crowded). I had to take my 4-pronged cane to walk to the street of the driveway. There was a chain link fence separating the two lots. She told me to walk along the fence. I did for a few steps but when I saw her crossing the small grassy strip and going towards the DMV building I said "Should I follow you?" She said in a nasty tone of voice "If you want to" so I did because the fence was about 200 or more feet and I didn't know where it would take me. When we got in the building, she said I would have to take the test another day and should get someone to go with me and practice making left-hand turns. A few days later I went to a different Div. of Motor Vehicles (DMV) place in the next city and passed within 5 minutes. Thank goodness! What would I have done with my 1998 Honda Accord that I purchased because it felt the most like my totaled 1991 Toyota Camry? I had tried some new cars but didn't feel at home with them. Now I will try to post.

Freddie-Thanks! I am sorry I hadn't been in touch. Glad you got your license. Hope you get you computer problems fixed soon. I had a heck of a time getting on here tonight for some reason.
I go to physical therapy in the morning and I am looking forward to it. I love those heat packs. I asked the guy last time to leave me in there for a few hours but he thought my work might miss me :)

Candice-I haven't been posting too much but I have to tell you I love all the pics you share with the owls. I have to get a digital camera.

Brenda-only a few more days til surgery huh? You are in my prayers. I know you will do fine.

Had a 2 lb loss this week for a total of 26 lbs...I gained one last week! Oops...stuff happens ya know!! LOL

Just wanted to check in - see how everyone was doing. Things are going good for me. I have almost all my Christmas shopping totally done! I need a few small things only. I am usually done by now - so I am running late! That damn 9/11 attack and my dad being sick threw me off for a bit. But thank GOD for online shopping!! I just love it! :) :)

Hi Everyone,

I have been missing in action, not even lurking lately. Just trying to get things done before the surgery on thurs. I don't want to have to do anything this weekend, just lay around and be waited on by the kids, LOL! Actually they are really looking forward to taking care of mom and being "in charge" for a few days. We went grocery shopping together after I picked them up from gymnastics tonight, Got lots of easy to prepare stuff for them to make. Then when we got home, I put the microwave down low where they can reach it and I can reach it without stretching. Then on top of the microwave I put paper cups, plates, utensils because I don't plan on washing dishes for a few days either. Tomorrow I will set up my little couch area with some good books and magazines. The Phone etc... oh and ofcourse the remote, LOL!

Glad to see everyone, effenbee good to see you back. Sorry I can't post individually just way too much to do right now.

Good luck tomorrow Brenda....You will do fine. We can recoup together for the next few days. I have to admit I'm getting nervous myself right now, but I know I'll feel a lot better when they tell me my biopsy is negative. Just keeping good thoughts.

It sounds like so many of you are doing well on your weight loss. I've been on weight watchers for 7 weeks now. I'm so pleased that I'm down 14.6 total. This program has really been working for me, plus I have a really good meeting group. The place I go is a local church which has 4 meetings a week. Our meeting usually has 60 to 70 people. I can't even imagine how many people there will be after the holidays.

Well, I'll be out of commission for the next few days, but hopefully will be back next week. Hope everyone has a good few days, and I'll catch up with you next week.

Susan...good job on the weight loss...you are on a roll. I have a goal of 2 lbs a week. Its reasonable. ANd if I have a bigger loss more power to me...but I'm not setting myself up for failure by taking it slow. I am an avid fan of WW...its not a diet per se...its a new way of eating. Behavior modification. It teaches you how to eat real food...not prepackaged...portioned servings like some of the other diets. It teaches YOU how to control your portions and gives YOU choices to make it liveable.

Setina...how are you doing girl? Tara...you haven't been around much. PJ I know you are there. Freddie are you hanging in there? Judy, Candice...come out and post..its really slow in here!!

I am off to surf the web...I haven't had a computer at home all summer long. John bought me a new one for Christmas. Actually he said it was my Christmas present for the next 3 years! Hummmmm.....I don't think he will remember that come next Christmas....I'll smile and bat my eyes at him next Christmas and tell him I want a new car!! Think it will work? Not...he just bought me one of them last summer!!!

Hello girls - I know....I've been M.I.A. but as I told Susan on the phone tonight...I've been under the weather and didn't feel like coming here and whining about it. I'd rather lurk (Michele caught me....lol) and read your posts which certainly lifted my spirits.

Brenda - I sent you an email but just in case ..... good luck tomorrow, although you wont need it. You'll be fine besides a little sore but in the long run.....I know you'll be happy you had it done. Not to mention how much better you'll feel without your bodacious ta-ta's. Heh-heh. Aren't I obnoxious?!:D I can't help it though, I'm sooooo jealous. I wish mine could have a lift after my children deflated them many years ago. Ah well, one of the downfalls of breast feeding. Thank God for under wire bras......otherwise, I'd have to tuck mine into my pants. :o

Michele - Your man sounds like my man. Every Christmas we say we're not going to trade gifts because we'd rather spend it on the kids. Of course we both agree to get eachother a "little something" and he always winds up not keeping his end of the deal and over does it every time. THIS year....I'm prepared though. I had a local painter do a painting of the kids and I from a picture I had a friend take. He's always said he wanted it done of just the kids and I for his office....We had one done of all four of us four years ago and the kids have changed so much......so I hope he likes this. Anyway, "yours" sounds like a wonderful man.....I guess I'm not the only one with "a keeper". ;)

Tara - I seem to remember YOUR honey being rather generous in the past. Heh-heh. Can't wait to see what he gets you THIS year. You ALWAYS make out like a bandit you little stinker. Bummer.....the doc said no more shots cause they could damage the tendon and to keep using it but just nothihg heavy or that causes an extreme amout of pain and to give it time and see him in Feb. IF IT IS NOT BETTER.... THEN TALK ABOUT SURGERY BUT I DON'T THINK THAT IS FOR ME! So I am going to be plugging away and hope that I don't over do with all this Christmas stuff!LOL

We are having that Tuna casserole again to night just love it and it is so guilt free! It cuts back a point if you don't use the albacore cause I refigured using the regular light water paced tuna tonight! Had to have a handful of thos FF onions though..but I counted them!

Been having dreams of eating stuff at Roseanne Barr's (I don't even like her all that well) house that I would never eat... like a DQ peanut butter parfait and tons of candy and nuts..so not even like me even before WW!!!!Wonder what's up???
