Whole Foods Menu 8/22!

  • Happy Tuesday Everybody!!!!!!!
  • BREAKFAST
    1/2 cup strawberry kefir
    1 slice whole grain bread
    1 tablespoon pumpkin butter

    SNACK
    1 apple
    2 tablespoons all natural peanut butter
    30 red grapes

    LUNCH
    4 oz broiled salmon
    3 cups romaine lettuce
    2 plum tomatoes
    2 tablespoons Ken's lite Balsalmic Vinegar dressing

    SNACK
    1 minneola orange (my fav!)

    DINNER
    4 oz cooked chicken burger
    15 roasted asparagus spears
    15 steamed baby carrots

    DESSERT
    1 cup chocolate soymilk
    10 grams (1 sqaure) Lindt's dark chocolate
    1 mug of Earl Grey tea
    1 tablespoon honey

    Total calories: 1480
    Total SuperFoods: 17

    **It seems that all I eat are SuperFoods! I don't have much room for anything else!!!**

  • Ah, a rainy rainy Tuesday here.

    Breakfast:
    cheerios, blueberries*, walnuts*, 1% milk
    1/2 english muffin with < 1 TBSP natural pb*

    Snack:
    16 oz ff latte
    hard boiled egg

    Lunch:
    spinach* salad, shrimp, < oz blue cheese
    Edit: this turned out to be Chinese food from the grocery

    Snack:
    apple*

    Dinner:
    Mixed the leftover swiss chard* from Sunday with leftover pasta with spinach* and feta from ?Friday? Added a little water to sauce it up and cooked it in a frying pan rather than nuking it. Also added some more feta - this time some with garlic and dried tomatoes - as it was kind of bland before. Tasted good, and I've enough left for lunch another day.

    Tea*

    I'm running to the grocery store at lunch, as we're short of fruit (and milk) at home, and my salad is short on ingredients! Edit: I did get an avocado and an orange pepper so tomorrow's salad will be lovely.
